Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Wildlands E3 Trailer, Info

Ghost Recon: Wildlands will be a 4-player co-op adventure set in the open-world of Bolivia.

Ubisoft kicked off it's E3 presser this year with an impressive extended look at upcoming shooter Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Starting off with the cinematic trailer you'll see to the right, Ubisoft then launched into a full, in-game mission, showing us exactly how the game's 4-player co-op will work.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands is set in Bolivia, putting the players up against a massive Bolivian drug cartel. The game will have simulated dialogue, like in The Division and seems to feature a large variety of vehicles including, helicopters, cars and motorbike.

As well as the cinematic trailer, you can see the full gameplay playthrough in the video below:

Ghost Recon: Wildlands will be released for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on March 7, 2017.

I loved the original Ghost Recon, absolutely loved it.

It was incredibly tense and twenty minute plus levels were often decided in less than thirty rounds of gunfire.

It's the kind of game that nobody seems to make anymore, it wasn't about the shooting as such, it was about carefully inching your two squads into the perfect ambush position, then bringing down your enemy without ever, ever getting spotted.

The few missions that forced you to face the enemy head on tended to be ridiculously frantic too. Flipping between squad members to prevent your flanks collapsing.

This certainly looks interesting in it's own right (as long as Ubisoft don't Ubisoft all over it too hard), but it doesn't look like it's going to recapture that magic from the original Ghost Recon.

Scary thought, that game's fifteen years old now. Yikes.

Yup, that's another downgrade compared to what was shown last year. Show of hands who's surprised by that?
I didnt cared much for the visuals but the gameplay? Stealth with unsupressed weapons while everyone just runs around killing enemies with one shot to the chest with a pistol? What the fuck was that? I wasnt waiting for Arma but even Future Soldier had some understanding of good gameplay (even if it was linear as fuck)

It looks like the Division, and that's definitely a bad thing.

Future Soldier at least made you look cool while doing 'Murica things. The player movement and animations, the gun play, the cover system, and even the camera looks horrible. What the hell is with the auto-aim in this game? Just because we play on console, it doesn't mean we are hand amputees with bad eyesight.

Thankfully, all of these are problems that I think can be fixed.

Who are the good guys suppose to be again?

So there's gangsters, and then there's gangsters with American military hardware. And we're suppose to cheer for the latter?

The Division really irks me too for this reason. You're suppose to be a "good person", but really nothing at all separates them from the gangsters they're killing.
