Hell that's what im putting, metal is more than a music genre. It's a way of life.Unabletothinkofname said:I wonder what they'd think about the metal for the 2011 census [http://www.facebook.com/heavymetal2011census] campaign.

It's all the same nonsense. It should never matter for any government functions whether people have any religion at all, so the fact that it's included in a census is rubbish anyways.
Personally I say go for the high score guys. 50% Jedi or bust.
Pastafarians or Adeptus Astartes also acceptable.
It's official, I am now writing down "Chaos Undivided" as my religion.fix-the-spade said:What if I get a red pen and scrawl BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD across religion.
Will they file that under 'other'?
Pardon me? That is disgusting.Random berk said:This is a complicated one. Great if the government are trying to stamp out organised religion, and this census is simply research toward that goal.
This actually made me laugh out loud. Now as long as the Jedi and the Atheists don't start opening up on each other with Armalites and AK47s in the street we should be OK..........2xDouble said:The Jedi Code is a very real, preachable practice. If studied closely, one may discover that Jedi is not "none of the above", as claimed by thosejerks who only want to see their numbers highernice atheistic people, but instead "all of the above". As Mark Hamil himself put in an interview, Jedi and The Force are "religion's greatest hits".
Jedism is serious business (picturing one of those lolcatz "srz bsnz" pictures with a cat holding or pawing at a lightsaber, but don't feel like making or finding one).
Listen, UK, you can't just ban a religion because you don't like one aspect just to make up your own similar... oh wait...
This. While I can see why people who don't understand the census would find this funny, this actually skews the government's data quite a bit. For instance, if the government is looking to make a new school, and they have the choice to make it religious (eg. C of E) or non-religious, they will check the census for how the local area feels about religion. If the census says 60% religious (for example) then they would probably opt for a religious school. Now, if half of that 60% is made up of people who put 'Jedi' as their religion for a joke, then I doubt that they'd be too happy about this situationSteve5513 said:But it does.Caliostro said:Honestly, shut the fuck up people (the guys in that "movement", not Tom, obviously).

It's stuff like this that gives the government an idea of what to do in the local area. This is also the kind of stuff used to justify more religious faith schools.
