Unboxing the Halo Reach Limited Edition

If you're picking up the Limited Edition of Halo Reach next Tuesday, here's what you're gonna find in the box.

Fridays are pretty awesome, aren't they? Not only do they mark the end of the work week, but sometimes you get cool packages for the weekend - like the boxes that showed up at The Escapist HQ earlier today containing the special Limited Edition of Halo Reach. Guess what we'll be playing this weekend!

In case you've forgotten, the Limited Edition contains [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/100200-Halo-Gets-Absurd-Again-with-Reach-Legendary-Edition] the game (duh), a cool ONI "black box" casing, and the personal journal of Dr. Halsey, one of the most important background characters in the series. If that sounds boring, rest assured, it's not - there's a ton of really cool background information and sketches in the journal that help lend more character to the Halo 'verse. There's also a neat world map of the planet Reach.

In other words, it's just the perfect thing for die-hard Halo fanatics. Take a look at the journal (and the very atmosphere-setting casing) and the rest above!

One of the main reason I bought the limited edition was for the documentary(like previous games) which looks like there is none. I can settle for that journal.

When I read it was going to have Dr. Halsey's journal, that was an instant winner right there. I like the Halo Lore and read Fall of Reach.

Got this edition because I love Halo lore. I think I might enjoy the journal more than the game itself.

I really can't wait until tuesday now. Its been killing me seeing the boxes full of these at work, knowing mine is in there but not being able to touch it xD
And the news of the map makes me very happy. I don't know why, but i love it when i get maps with my games.

I'm glad I have it pre-ordered. It's the first time I've ever actually bought a special addition of the game. Even my girlfriend is looking forward to that game and journal, and she JUST got into the Halo story (not the game, she isn't too good at FPS's ).

Tuesday can't come soon enough. I'm glad I got Plants vs Zombies to pass the time.

I have to wait 'til Tuesday to grab mine, and being the úber geek I am I've gone with the Legendary edition. This year I'm going to have spent far too much on games...

That is the edition i am getting. Personal the legendary edition isn't worth it for overpriced dolls and an in-game armor effect. It may be worth it to some people though. Looks like I have to wait for Tuesday like everybody else.
