So they plead guilty to a lesser charge... but only on the condition of anonymity. What idiot agreed to that in the first place.
That isn't all that uncommon. People tend to feel that no punishment is too great, as far as paedophilia is concerned. Keeping the attackers anonymous prevents members of the public from trying to inflict their own justice on them. Ironically, some people who complain about criminals being treated like victims, are the same people who end up victimising them.

OT: glad to hear she was cleared, but let no one forget that she did break the law and disobey the ruling. She's fortunate that the judge was sympathetic enough to let her off.

Yeah, I agree with the above, there's nothing so dumb as mob mentality, as Terry Pratchett said 'a mob's IQ is that of it's dumbest member divided by the number of people in it.'

You've either got to accept the legal system or make moves to change it, you can't just take the law into your own hands.

I'm going to make myself unpopular, but I don't like how men accused of rape seem to be fair game for being made public and set on by the press.

Afterwards, when they've been found guilty, beyond reasonable doubt, sure, but someone just points and goes 'he is a bad man' and he's got the lurking accusation of being a rapist hanging over him for the rest of his life? That's fucked up.

I however am fully in favour of hard punishment for those convicted.

This case... I really don't know, I feel like she shouldn't have, at the same time, when everyone you trust has let you down to (in her eyes) help out the men who destroyed you, I can't really blame her for releasing the information.

There are laws. This country is built on laws. Even guilty parties are protected by the law, and being the receiving end of a crime doesn't give you the right to violate the law yourself.

Firstly, what happened to her was obviously wrong. Secondly, the two boys have been punished in accordance with a plea bargain. While it isn't the result she wanted, the case is shut and, unless an appeal is made, both parties are legally bound by it's outcome. As a result, she deserves to punished because she broke the court order.

Being a victim of a crime does not give you a get out of jail free card, no matter what it was.

They sexually assaulted someone, they shouldn't get plea bargains, they shouldn't get anonymity, they shouldn't get to go for jobs or anywhere else in there lives for that matter without people knowing what they did, and they also don't deserve to live.

She did nothing wrong.

You really need to learn more about the legal system. Most cases are plea barganed, especially for guilty clients. The system would be overloaded otherwise. Plus in many cases more guilty people would walk free (as it might be too hard to make the cases) instead of getting a guarenteed sentence. For example, if during Discovery the accuser is uncertain, unclear, or in any way unbelievable, while at the same time the accused is rock solid, clear, and believable, then the prosecutor would be very wise to seek a plea because there is a good chance the case will fail at trial.

and they also don't deserve to live.
You don't even know what they did or didn't do to her. They should die for grabbing her butt? It could have been that minor.

She did nothing wrong.
Except knowingly breaking the law, which means she did something wrong.

you don't go to court for grabbing someones ass, plea bargains just let people off easily for crimes so they can do worse things.

"plead guilty to a lesser charge" that is still a class A felonony
If there pleading guilty to that for the anonymity is probably so they don't get raped in the shower or get sent to something outer then a super-max for life.

First Degree Sex Abuse is a Class A or a B Felony
the plea was probably to get into a something outer then a super-max or have a chance at parole
they are still screwed
