Yeah, most people who say they don't like the games so much say it's because they don't care much for the "main" characters.

Personally, I didn't hate any of them, but I didn't really come to care much about them either. :/
Was pretty indifferent to them.

Also, didn't they say they were developing Kindom Hearts 3 a while back?

I haven't heard much about it since them. For the fans sake, I hope it's just because they've been VERY busy making the game.

Kingdom Hearts 3 was officially announced during the 2013 E3 Sony Press Conference, which hyped up many people. Before that, the reason for the delay is because Nomura and most of the Kingdom Hearts team are the ones who are making Final Fantasy Versus XIII XV, and they said Kingdom Hearts 3 would be getting full attention once FF XV is released. So expect Kingdom Hearts 3 sometime in 2017 I say. :p

I guess Sora absorbed that log into himself, gaining wood-based powers.

Also, "Has anyone else listening to the lyrics for this song"? Someone was up late editing.

Ah, neat. FF15 looked interesting. :)

I hope they keep to their word to work on KH3 when they are done with the new FF.
While I'm not a fan, I can sympathise with having to wait and hope against hope that the next game will be made.

What do you mean? Surely Disney had to loan out at least one of the designers of their world-famous acid trips for the creation of this intro, at least until Sora woke up. Wouldn't mind you doing Kingdom Hearts II or Birth By Sleep as well- I like them but their intros make even less sense than this one.

Ah, now THIS was a long time coming. We just can't have a proper Square-Enix developed game without a protagonist with outlandishly spiky hair.

From what I know the intro doesn't really have any meaning. It's just there to look neat.

I'm surprised that you didn't comment on the upskirt camerashot at 02:47. Considered she is 14 in Kingdom Hearts, is this child pornography?

Did anyone else notice that in this version, when they're supposed to race, they just get up in run, but in the original version, Riku and Sora look at each other for a second, then they jump up and start the race? I know it might not seem like much, but I feel like they really missed out on including that moment. I feel like it really showed their friendly rivalry a bit better, but that might just be me not liking them taking shit out of games from my childhood. Maybe I'm just a punk.

Also, is this the first actual video by anyone on this site involving Kingdom Hearts besides Yahtzee's acknowledgment of its existence in like two videos?

The English lyrics for KH 1 and 2's openings are pretty much rubbish and nonsensical. I gave up trying to make sense of them years ago. Japanese lyrics make a little more sense. Ah well, catchy as hell.

Though I like the main cast of Kingdom Hearts. Sora I find to be extremely likable, though I admit it might be a personal taste. Kingdom Hearts is just so adorably cheesy and saccharine that I can overlook how I typically hate such overly cheery characters like him. I played the first game as an adult too. None of these characters are particularly new, interesting, or all that well written. I just find them warm, familiar, and fun, like how I treat a lot of Disney movies (among other movies of my youth) and is often the attitude I have going into playing them.

Apparently much of the game was rebuilt from the ground up for the HD remaster. Didn't notice that change (been ages since I played the PS2 original and I had to compare the original footage to the footage here about 5 times) but sounds like a weird goof. I can't think of a reason why they would consciously remove a bit like that, small as it is.

Has anyone else listening to the lyrics for this song? They don't relate to the game. Like AT ALL.
Oh, so you noticed that too, huh?

Also, I too want some of whatever he's smoking.

I was very much expecting, and then severely disappointed by the lack of, a Gilligan's Island reference.

That max-hold gel is how Riku can stay still in a tsunami. He channels the gel into his body in order to remain motionless whatever the circumstances. Or it could be a dream. Either-or.
