All fanboyism aside, I really hope it's a 360 port of mgs4.
Not cause I'm an Xbox fanboy, I just am Happy when I can save the 400 ? for the PS3.
But actually I don't believe it.I'm pretty sure it will be a new Metal Gear in the works.Because it's pretty much Sonys biggest cash cow left, and I can't imagine that they wouldn't want to milk it some more.

Oooh spooky. My bet is the MGS4 remake. Too soon to announce the next one.

Why are we all still humping the "MGS4 on 360!" crap? Can't we all move on and hope that, oh I dunno, a different MGS game will be on a 360?

I mean, seriously, why specifically 4? Why can't you guys just hope for a different MGS on 360? Why specifically number quatro? Do you guys just want to deprive the PS3 with one of it's "only" exclusives? want it that badly? Then buy a PS3, simple as that.

Move on already, it could very well be an MGS on 360, but it's not going to be MGS4. I haven't seen a game this much begged for a year after released to be going on to 360! Hell, nobody cared when Bioshock went to Ps3. (no offense to you personally, just irks me that everyone is still on the "MGS4 on 360!" crack)

I'm still excited about this annoucnment, and Funk, don't scare me about the conspiracies. You know how we can get.....

5 is too obvious, now that I think about it.

You think HIDEO would really be that heavy-handed? The S/5 is probably going to break apart over the next few days and then rearrange itself into the shape of a duck, which Kojima will then ride.

I personally would have leant towards a turtle, or some species of lemur, but a duck seams feasible too.

Perhaps it is an entirely new game for the Xbox. In which case, I will buy immediately.
Or it may be a MGS4 expanded edition for the 360. The fact that the clock ends on the day of Microsoft's press conference is the final blow. I will be playing MGS on my Xbox sometime soon.
EDIT: I want any MGS at this point in time. I need to see what all this hype is about.

EDIT: I don't recall there ever being this much hype for the subsistence-type releases anyway. It's either a re-release on the xbox (doubtful...sony would pay hand over fist to keep the franchise), a sequel, or an unrelated game. I doubt the latter though, as kojima is using his fox-hound-like logo at the bottom of the page...

Well, it wouldn't be the first time an MGS game was released for a MS console; MGS2:Substance was released for the original Xbox (and then, to my supreme annoyance, not made backward compatible). Thing is, it was met with mediocre sales, so that may well mean it doesn't happen.

Someone mentioned a long time ago here on The Escapist that it would be great to have it named Metal Gear Solid 4: Existence. I thought that was an amazing idea.

Of course, that's how I feel about L4D coming to Ps3. I want it to happen, but until then I have no choice but to either buy a 360 or upgrade my PC.

I don't care if you want the Jesus of all games to come out on another system that it's not on, until that happens you're only choice is to buy the hardware or piss off. It's no use complaining for it to come to 360 (and again I reiterate, why specifically MGS4?) because it's not going to happen any sooner if you do that.

There's a magical concept that is the near basis of all business, and it's called saving up. If you can't afford a PS3, save up. I can't afford a couple of new PC parts to upgrade, so I'm going to have to save up. Doesn't mean I like it, but right now it's the only option I would have to play L4D (because, as you very well know, my fanboyism prevents me from purchasing anything from that filthy, filthy, company known as Micro$oft)

Err...what? I said that's not the only game I'd like to see transfer systems... I believe I mentioned the older FF and MGS games were ones I'd like to see?

If you want some others, hell, I'd be glad to see some Warhawk. Tell me that game isn't within the 360's hardware limitations. I dare you
