Before, I was excited when I heard that the game might be coming Mac.
Now, I'm not so sure I'll have any interest in it when they do.

That would make sense, and this is EA we're talking about. It might take a whole hour to patch out the "/dance" command to just display "Can't dance here" or "Dancing temporarily disabled," whereas screwing over your customers is EA's special sentai power ("Epsilon Alpha Rainbow Banhammer attack!")dogstile said:Perma bans? Damn, can't you guys just, I dunno, disable the dance function until its fixed or something?
Of all the reasons for not playing a game, you choose this?Space Jawa said:Before, I was excited when I heard that the game might be coming Mac.

Its an in game economy, it'd fix itself after a while. Humans are opportunists, so no, I wouldn't ban them, I would completely understand. Especially considering that if I recall, permabans from EA means you can't play any of your games.rapidoud said:Let's say it's known about for 24 hours, and they abuse the mob every 10 minutes. 1 said mob being abused dropped over 20 pieces of lootdogstile said:Perma bans? You'd seriously not permaban for someone knowing an emergency fix would be on its way? The only difference to WoW is that people are getting their panties in a bunch over this, and people have been gleefully exploiting in WoW to a permaban inc for years.
Would you want the kind of person that looks for the next exploit to sell their account off with loads of money gone from your game too, or give him some leeway because 'oh we should've known every single bug in the game and assumed people wouldn't take advantage of them!'
Holy crap for real? They're banning people for using the auction house...like an auction house in any other mmo? The hell? Man these mods would shit a brick if they ever saw how people dominated the ah in WoW, I know a few guy who playing the auction house was all they did.Dexter111 said:*snip*

Learn to read before jumping on the hate-wagon.
Right, because that was totally "jumping on the hate-wagon" and not AT ALL just a joke excuse for me to use the phrase "Rainbow Banhammer attack" in a post... damn, but the rabid fanboys take everything so seriously.animehermit said:No one was banned, learn to read.
Except WoW is weakening now, it's not growing anymore and is losing players rapidly, so much so they're trying to advertise everywhere they can, adding in new expansions of what was previously a joke, along with the success of Rift it is conceivable that it probably will work especially considering that the amount of pre-orders was amazing.The_root_of_all_evil said:History repeats itself.
No, the bans are real, just the "dancing zone" email thing is a fake.Xris said:Didn't anyone read the update? The e-mail about getting banned for not dancing in the 'dance zone' was fake, stop making such a fuss about this.
