Microsoft isn't using MS points for this? The water is already beginning to run thick red with blood.

But there are some very good games on the list. I myself will be purchasing Mass Effect. I never got around to playing it when it came out. I may also get Assassin's Creed to replace my shattered disc. Now we can only assume that Bioshock, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4/5, and the entire Guitar Hero franchise are next.

Not to start the flame war (I'm GLAD XBOX has this feature now), but this is exactly like the full-title DLs on PSN, correct? For example, the Burnout Paradise you are getting here is a full-owned digital copy of the retail game, just like the one you get from PSN, minus any platform specific differences?

A rare point where PSN beat Live to the punch, and the only reason I think it's worth noting. Aside from that, I like down-loadable full titles for certain types of game. It was great for the Oblivion expansion, not so great for Gran Tourismo Prologue.

Now, if only MS would respond to the reasonable demands to make expanding storage space cheaper on that platform, XBOX owners would be able to DL and store more than 4 or 5 games at a time. I'm rooting for you guys on that one.

Could be interesting. Hopefully MS won't be charging an arm and a leg for games. Anything over $10-$20 and I certainly won't be buying.

Too lazy to read the fifteen or so replies. While the exact dollar amount is thankfully reassuring, is it possible to pay with MS points? Or a combination? Probably not, but I have an extra 800 that I've been meaning to get rid of.

Hmm...I actually recently bought a copy of Call of Duty 2 but the disk didn't work and I was forced to get my money back - now I can just buy it off live =)

I may also buy Burnout depending on the prices.

The lack of Jet Set Radio on Xbox Originals always annoyed me. This lineup has both Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect which I need to reacquire so that's not terrible, but still, I'm a little put out that they didn't release more Originals. Finding a working copy of JSR these days is rather more difficult (and expensive at times) than I would like.

Do we have any idea how much space they'll take up on the HDD? My 20 gig is getting smaller and smaller these days...

the real question is how they choose to price these games, as charging anything more than $10 for Perfect Dark Zero would be ridiculous, as you can up a used copy for like n$5 at any gamestop.

This is a pretty good idea. I mean, I'm obviously too lazy to leave my house for 10 minutes to pay 20 bucks for a game so this is perfect. Really, if I find a game on here I just might use this service.

how many gigs would it take to download a full game?
Someone told me that the games wouldn't be downloaded onto your xbox360 harddrive...but rather, Microsoft would send the vital stuff to your console while letting you access the game via Xboxlive to play on your console...

Can anyone confirm/deny this?

It is a good idea, but Microsoft won't capitalize on it. They didn't with the Xbox Originals. In the 2 years that the Xbox Originals program was running, how many games were available? Thirty one. Thirty one games after two years. That isn't much of a selection at all. Compare it to Steam, which really took off with digital distribution in early 2006. Three years later, Steam offers over FIVE HUNDRED games! So what's the problem? Why weren't more Xbox Originals made available? I have a feeling this new service from MS will be the exact same.

that was a interesting game back in the day..DEFINITELY not one you play when you have a got a raging migraine..which is the only reason why I only played about 3 hours on that game.

I prefer having the original disc and then copying it to my 360 HDD (thank God for the 120GB HDD)

I bought Vegas when it first came out and all my friends were playing it..it was ok,but there was always complaining about the enemy respawn in T-hunt..infact it got so monotonous at one point that I knew almost exactly where they would come from, if you moved to a certain door.
Nothing more fun than going through a hallway that you've cleared only to have an enemy respawn with a SPAS-12 behind you..

Vegas is worth a rental thats about it..and thats coming from a hardcore Rainbow Six player..I've been playing it since it came out on the PC.

However..the Lego Star Wars..that sounds awesome.
