I didn't see you write all that to him. I just saw you keep asking a question that was answered.
I didn't realise it was necessary to provide such expanded context to why i wanted an answer. So i asked one more time, which was before it had been answered.

it is, of course, extremely important to figure out whether tippy2k2 is an accelerationist for some reason.
"People can only ask other forum members about things they find extremely important"

I'm not the one who made such a big fucking deal of this. I asked a passing question concerning the exact topic of the tweet he posted, and have since then just been dealing with the aggressive blowback and having to justify having the audacity to ask at all.

Well now you've learned to be clear in what you're asking for so you don't look silly when you ask a question that had already been answered.

The White House website has a new major events timeline.
Pretty standard stuff until 1973, after which apparently nothing happened for a quarter century, and then things started taking a turn.

Examines the Canadian housing market, cost of living, job market, and the country's relationship with the US, particularly under the Trump administration. Okay, have fun in Canada, future Canuck immigrants.

Anyone who isn't being successfully gaslighted is likely to be going to the US and Australia.

Going to the US? What's making the US so desirable at the moment?
1761283343825.gif

In all seriousness, it's the fact that the US has the best resources to population ratio, a net positive agricultural sector in terms of cheap food for all types of food, minus specialties, has the military behind it, weak neighbors, the most dynamic people, and the most disposable income for a country of its size. And the fact that my parents, who worked blue-collar positions, were able to buy a 2,100-square-foot house with only savings from their work in China and the US in a top 20 city.

On the health front, it has top-notch hospitals, and accepts that mental illness and ADHD are real. Top-notch cancer R&D, care, and amazing dental care at an affordable price.

Also, the US is basically free in many other countries; it’s your family is X, you are X. In the US, you can change your job, business, major, not have the best SAT or ACT, then go to community college, then a state school. Also, the best world-class Universities like the Ivies, Stanford, MIT, and the University of Chicago, minus engineering and some STEM topics.

The military is the best and has a working and has maintained nuclear deterrent. So if, say, a neighboring nation-state or even a coalition tried to invade, we would have escalation dominance, and the only place in the world we don’t have escalation dominance is the SCS, the first island chain, and basically off the Chinese Coast.

Even our conservatives, despite being ruthless, aren’t morons most of the time. Trump didn’t escalate and stood down when the tech leaders called him about sending ICE to San Francisco. My governor (DeWine) endorsed masks down to the cabinet level, and everywhere, the people are more open-minded; you’re as likely to make a friend with any race as you are with any family member (with decreasing or increasing salience depending on the relationship). Even Tucker used a vaccine, most likely.

Unless you fuck up badly, like kill someone or steal from the rich, or, in my perception of Trump’s calculus, form ethnic enclaves like many Spanish-speaking illegal Hispanics do, that only speak Spanish. Everyone gets along.

Also, fiber optic internet for cities, and even for the suburbs, 1 gig broadband, and failing that, SpaceX’s Starlink.

Shall I go on?

My question was perfectly clear in what it was asking. What you're objecting to is that i didn't explain at length why i was asking. Apparently an unacceptable transgression.

And no, it had not already been answered when i asked that second time. This has already been explained to you.

Just stop repeating these petty little lies and we can move on.

They're not lies, your question got answered as written, but it wasn't an answer you were expecting, so you just asked the question again. It made you look silly, but also obtuse. And since you reliably are like this, people treat you accordingly.

Ok, i am taking the bait.

Yes, the US has high salaries. And a corresponding cost of living.

In all seriousness, it's the fact that the US has the best resources to population ratio
That is nonsense. every low population density country like e.g. Canada or Russia yould have a better ratio. But that ratio is not all that important, is it ?
, a net positive agricultural sector in terms of cheap food for all types of food, minus specialties,
American food is expensive and low quality. At least compared to e.g. the EU.
has the military behind it, weak neighbors,
Yes. And that is not really a consideration for most immigrants.
the most dynamic people,
based on what ?
And the fact that my parents, who worked blue-collar positions, were able to buy a 2,100-square-foot house with only savings from their work in China and the US in a top 20 city.
Which is why you hear and read about the US houseing crisis and how the current generation can't afford one every other day, right. Oh, and the US has those HOAs. And most of the houses are cheaply build and can't even last a century. And are in suburbs where you are car dependent for everything. Which particularly sucks for children.
On the health front, it has top-notch hospitals, and accepts that mental illness and ADHD are real. Top-notch cancer R&D, care, and amazing dental care at an affordable price.
US healthcare is the laughing stock of the whole developed world. And in particular, there is nothing affordable about it.
Also, the US is basically free in many other countries; it’s your family is X, you are X. In the US, you can change your job, business, major, not have the best SAT or ACT, then go to community college, then a state school.
Again, this is the same in most of the developed world.
Also, the best world-class Universities like the Ivies, Stanford, MIT, and the University of Chicago, minus engineering and some STEM topics.
Sure, the US has some good universities. But the average US university/college does not impress anyone. Except for being way too expensive.
The military is the best and has a working and has maintained nuclear deterrent.
Again, who cares ?
Even our conservatives, despite being ruthless, aren’t morons most of the time.
Is this supposed to be a selling point ? I would have to search to find worse gouvernments in the developed world than the US currently has.
Unless you fuck up badly, like kill someone or steal from the rich, or, in my perception of Trump’s calculus, form ethnic enclaves like many Spanish-speaking illegal Hispanics do, that only speak Spanish. Everyone gets along.
In most other developed countries people get along even better.
Also, fiber optic internet for cities, and even for the suburbs, 1 gig broadband, and failing that, SpaceX’s Starlink.
Yes, which, again, most of the developed world has as well.

But the most important thing right now is that every potential immigrant risks getting harrassed by ICE, visas are not worth the paper they are printed on because they can be invalidated on a whim and one might land in an El Salvador prison or just get disappeared completely just for ICe to make the quota. Yes, even as a legal, high skilled immigrant.

No. The initial reply did not directly answer the question i asked. This is not arguable, it objectively didn't. It talked instead about abolition.

You inferred an answer to the question i asked, and considered it the only answer possible. I did not, for reasons already explained, and asked once more.

Since then you have simply insisted your inferrence constitutes a direct answer.

We really do get along here. You can't judge a people from across the ocean based on what is presented by the chronically online. The things you see are almost all orchestrated for fake internet points.
Mass shootings are an almost daily occurence. The military has been deployed to multiple cities because the President considers them to be in a state of "war". Millions of people have taken to the streets in a series of the largest organised protests in American history, which the government and sectors of the media have referred to as mass domestic terrorism.

And any two of those people stuck in a room would have a fine time. All of the issues you point to stem from a lack of people intermingling, because people get along when they are together here.

Other than idiotic echo chamber and the idiotic administrative, who are these fuckers trying to fool?

I think half of that stupid nonsense is less trying to fool anybody and more members of the Trump administrative trying to prove their loyalty to the cause.

A pointless and meaningless endeavor. Daddy Trump will screw them over at some point as well, or get rid of them for "failing" in some kind of way.

And they're not going to intermingle, because the country's 3000 miles across and a population over 300 million, further fragmented by media and internet echo chambers.

The reality is out there, right now: the president is tearing shit up in the parts of the country that don't vote for him with the acceptance, approval or even outright enjoyment of the parts of the country that do. Your country is not getting along. Appealing to the fact that individuals might, as long as they were in circumstances that don't actually happen (enough) in real life anyway, is an appeal to fantasy.

In a way, the US right under Trump is offering a solution to this for America, and it's a not uncommon one for the right wing: authoritarianism and totalitarianism. If people will not get along, then they are going to limit their differences. Throw out immigrants. Enforce more of a monoculture, a unified cultural standard on everyone. Attacks on and coercion of non-approved thought (anything left wing, "woke" - in media, universities, science, Democrat-leaning states, judiciary and law firms, etc.) You won't have much freedom or democracy at the end, of course.

But then, the USA is not unique here. This story is playing out, albeit at different stages and in slightly different ways, all across the West. Although arguably the USA is doing a substantial amount to make it happen elsewhere, because ideological zealots don't like there to be other places that can demonstrate things can be different.
