You may remember a similar topic about this game's prequel, so I decided to make one about this too.

My copy is flying to my arms as we speak so in the meantime I figured I should make this topic to discuss out expectations of the game. Also if someone has it already, please no spoilers without marking cause this game is all about the story.

Finally this epic will conclude after all these years. Also there's a pillowcase bonus for preordering, they're going all out it seems lol.

That is the English title, in Jp it's called "the two Hakuoro", but that I guess is too esoteric if you haven't played any of the prior games or seen any of their anime versions.

Forgive me if I have asked this before but how would you (as in anyone who has played the games) say this compares to Tears to Tiara 2 in the story, characters and gameplay? Also if I were to get the Utawarerumono games I am taking it I would pretty much need to get Deception and this one but do you need to know anything about the first? because all I have done is watched the anime quite a while ago.

Also general length of game and rough gameplay to story ratio would be good to know. I am slowly making my way through Tears to Tiara 2 and am loving the story and characters just got to chapter 7 after we learn the truth about Izebel which was about what I expected but was still told in a very satisfying way but as for the battles hmmm yeah im not a huge fan tbh they are functional and get the job done but I dont like the fact that say I accidentally move a character to the wrong space I cannot move them back without rewinding the whole turn (once I have committed). Just makes them a bit tedious tbh despite having some nice ideas but really I like the story so much it just annoys me more that it roadblocks it.

My favourite TBS game for battles is Disgaea and its probably the only one I actually liked the battles in due to how smooth they were and how great the UI was also I could grind some maps pretty easily to basically make them trivial to a certain point if I wanted and just enjoy the story. End game stuff is another matter but I dont mind them making that insane.

Think im about half way through Tears now anyway so maybe by early next year I will be done so no one spoil any story for me about it in any replies pls.

Oh and does this game end the series?

Thanks for the info. If its comparable to Tears to Tiara 2 then that is good enough for me and if I find it better like you seem to do then that would mean I have something very special to look forward to.

I wont be playing it anytime soon due to how slowly I get through games now due to other concerns but I will definitely put them on the to get list even if it is getting pretty long now. Games are coming out faster than I can play em but this one seems pretty chill if that is the gameplay to battle ratio and its easy and the story is that good sounds like something I can relax to and enjoy.
