BWA-hahahahahah!
Sorry! I'm sorry.
Hahahahahaa!
*cough* No, really, false accusations of racism are incredibly offensive to the accused, any of the so-called "victims", and common sense in general.
...pfft...hehe..
Ha-hahahahahahaha!
Hehehe... he totally killed any credibility he had! Ahaha... No one who hears about this will ever take him seriously again! Heheheheh!

Whaaaa?
My thoughts echo Valve's response here. Mystified as to how this can work. To some extent, I might have agreed if he was arguing about thier choice of the stereotypical hefty African American Survivor, but the point he makes seems dumb.

Well, from what I remember Call of Juarez: BIB is partially about the Civil War, so it only makes sense it appears. As for L4D2, perhaps this guy remembers there are also black survivors you play as?

HAHAHAHAH. Oh my goodness the sensitivity is astounding. I can't believe the stupidity. They confederate flag needs to be shown because it is set during a time where the Confederacy was around. Racism in Left 4 dead 2? Haha that is even more idiotic considering nobody complained then they had a large amount of white zombies being killed by louis! Also, in Gears of war two I am ALWAYS Cole because I love him and the locust are White coloured. If a game is set in New Orleans there are going to be black people in it because a large percentage of the population is black. It seemed the News Stations never forgot this fact after Hurricane Katrina as they needed to remind us of it every five seconds. It is humans killing humans, not White people killing black people or vice versa.

If he says the confederate flag is a message of hate. Than he is a moron and not worth anybodies time.

Why? what's wrong with black zombies? It's okay to shoot zombies of every other origin and culture, but black zombies is going to far? -.- god I hate people

Wow, I hate when people confuse the words/meanings of "equality" and "racism". For instance, this guy says that there should not be black zombies because that's racist. But in reality, the black zombies are there out of equality, and he's just being racist.

I don't know what's Jefferson's problem is. Each time there's a black guy (or woman) getting killed, it's racism in his eyes.

To answer your question: No, I don't think those games are racist. Unless I hear "Die you (term to insult black people)" or other examples, I don't think the game "should" be racist.
it seems tht way to most media, were all people after all colour cant change tht only stupid people seem to think it does.

*sigh* someone somewhere will red flag anything.
I mean I could care less who that bad guys are. If they are doing bad things (like being a zombie) then I can care less what race they are

Being a native resident of Louisiana and making regular visits to New Orleans all I can say about that statement is; Do you really expect to go to New Orleans(or any major city for that matter) and NOT see black people?

Know what I expect to see in LFD2? I expect to see zombies, lots and lots of zombies, with the occasional zombie jazz musician with his saxophone rammed through his mid-section running towards me. Also expect to see dlc or mods to put t-shirts on characters that are the infamous "Mayor Nagan and the Chocolate City". If you don't know what that is I suggest you head to google and join in on the laughter.

I can't wait to shoot my way through zombie hordes in the french quarter and river walk, I wonder if there will be a section where you get to shoot zombies from a moving trolley....

If I ever hear this racism thing again I'll go nuts. I could bet that if the zombies in Resident Evil 5 were white no one would give a shit. Hell, all of the enemies in Resident Evil 4 were white and I havent heard one single accusation of racism. And Bound in Blood was an amazing FPS, who gives a fuck about the flags appearing in the game?

Unfortunately the backlash of killing hordes of white people zombies in L4D was not felt as much, but I assure you, it is an atrocity that the people of my native country Caucasia won't soon forget!

Oh sweet Jesus, that's not at all racist! People are activly searching for racist things now! If they had all zombies white, it is just 4 people, shooting zombies. But, if you add in a black zombie, the game is classed as racist and most burn. It's complete bullshit, so what there are black zombies in the game, it doesn't make it racist, it makes it through to real life becasue there are a lot of african-americans in New Orleans.

If all of what I said there made no sense,

So the musings in my thread on this site, that barely anyone paid any attention to was right. I expected this to happen.

I still think there's a link between the racial awareness in L4D2 and RE5. Somewhat like, but in a bigger sense than, the Zombie Genocider achievement between L4D and Dead Rising. Though that might have to do with the fact that the first trailer for L4D2 seemed to have a slightly more comical look to it, and made me think it was footage from Dead Rising 2, until I saw 4 team members and it all fit together.

I guess the only way to avoid problems like this is to have white people killing white people in video games. Although that would probably lead to questions why there aren't any black people in them.
This will never end. Or at least, it will never end well.

"The racial makeup of the city was 67.25% African American, 28.05% White, 0.20% Native American, 2.26% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.93% from other races, and 1.28% from two or more races. 3.06% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race." - Wikipedia, on New Orleans.

The fucking majority is black.
How does including them make it racist?
If anything, the opposite should be true!

I honestly cannot fathom the stupidity that goes on in the mind of this man.
Jesus Christ. Seriously.

I keep re-reading the article to make sure I didn't make some sort of reading comprehension error.
Quoted for massive truthery. I can't believe people are still up in arms about this- an overwhelming amount of evidence says, no, Capcom, Valve, and most other game companies aren't guilty of racism, yet people *still* keep harassing them about this.

Personally, I salute Faliszek for having the guts to shoot down this insane theory in public. Utter insanity indeed.

Now, as most people here know, I am definitely not someone who blindly defends video games from all accusations of regressive social depictions, because I believe that as a whole, the video game industry is very, very guilty of shilling mountains of them.

I've never played the new Call of Juarez game, but it's a Western. If it takes place in a civil war era setting, how is including the confederate flag racist? Is "To Kill a Mockingbird" racist because black people are at times referred to as "niggers?"

And I would hope there would be some black zombies in a game set in New Orleans. Valve is one of the most progressive developers out there on these issues, they will have considered these things.

In summary, this is stupid, and the blogger is stupid.

My god... people need to grow the hell up... if there was a game where you were a black guy going around killing only white people, nobody would say a thing about it... actually... come to think of it, racism only seems to apply to black people now days... or, at least the racism I hear about does... never applies to any other race...
