I beg to differ, the history of voodoo in New Orleans makes it perfect for a zombie game.
You're an idiot. I hope you know that. There is a vastly big difference between the bad version of voodoo where people are made into zombies by using certain herbs, and let me take this time to remind you that they aren't flesh eating zombies, to make them zombies and the spiritual side of voodoo as a religion.
You realize the game is a work of fiction right?
You realize your idiocy wasn't though, right?

And which game? L4D2? RE5? Both were to be technical, but I don't remember seeing anything that linked Voodoo to L4D2.

No, but the origin of those comments does strike me as ignorant. How the hell does the southern version of the Union Jack symbolize racism? It's like saying the Maple leaf on Canada's flag symbolizes destroying the environment.

Unfortunately the backlash of killing hordes of white people zombies in L4D was not felt as much, but I assure you, it is an atrocity that the people of my native country Caucasia won't soon forget!
Glory be to Caucasia, and all her children.

... Kinda felt like a skinhead typing that, despite the irony.

Look at the first few seconds of that video. 00:10 it shows an above ground cemetery that NO is known for. Having been on one of the spirit tours in NO, I know where the story writers are coming from when choosing NO as a location for the story. And yes the voodoo mystique is part of that.

This news post needs to be rewritten to something more like: Small time blogger causes controversy to get attention, 14 pages of replys.

Oh well. There goes another point of my faith in the universe. Ugh... Jefferson. He lives up to his name, I guess (no offense to you Jefferson's out there). I wish he was reading everything on this thread. I wish he could be enlightened on his topic of choice. I wish he would go look up racism in the English dictionary, and admit on his blog that he is "dead" wrong. These particular people speaking up about their personal beliefs, that all humans are created in-equal, and should not be portrayed as the same, or should even be portrayed in the same group together, well I just can't get along with them. I wish they could be enlightened, that the scars of racism inflicted upon them by their parents could be healed, but they can't. These people like Willie Jefferson cannot be altered in their beliefs, and it is a fool's errant to try.

I live close enough to New Orleans to tell you that, just because you took, lol, a tour does not mean you know shit you moron. And what on Batmans green earth does a cemetery have to do with it? Yes I know we have them, lots of em in fact, unless you're talking about the Queen Mother of Voodoo, some people will now who I'm talking about.

Look you failed, horribly, just move on.

My only point was the NO has a lot more undead/occult atmosphere and mystique going for it than say Hackensack New Jersey for example. I think it makes for an interesting story about zombies that probably will use a little creative license concerning voodoo. Why are you trying to be such a douchebag about it?

Alright, after laughing for about five minutes straight, I had to reply to you just to thank you.

The irony there was priceless.

Edit: If you actually cared about the OT, you would be having a constructive discussion instead of flipping out on some dude who's opinion is just as important as yours. Actually, the fact that he presented his opinion politely make his more important than yours.

On the subject of the OT, however, not a whole lot needs to be said that hasn't already been said. Have any of you ever been to Texas? This sort of thing is to be expected from the confederate flag waving bigots that populate the area.

Meaning what? That you stuck around to disagree with people and act like an impotent toddler? Granted, that's exactly what I'm doing, but I'm not claiming to be anything but an asshole. Asshole's are needed in this world, just watch Team America.

Assholes on high horses however...

Anyway, this is my last piece of delicious troll cake for you.

But if they take out the African Americans it will be racist to white people.
Everyone is equal, it just as racist to have white enemies in a game as it is to have African Americans or any other race.

I never understood this...for years, nay! centuries! we have been killing off white zombies! Now that we might blow apart, asian, african or i dont know...eskimo zombies it becomes racist? But its ok to kill off white zombies? Even in RE5 I never saw it as racist. These sorts of accusations always get me annoyed I guess. Its a game, not some type of racist propaganda...

The story is set in Africa. So, if you aren't shooting the local population turned zombies, what would you be shooting? A horde of zombie cheetahs or gazelles perhaps?

Heaven forbid that a zombie apocalypse be an equal opportunity force of human annihilation.

*EDIT* So, would it still be racist if they added white missionaries to the zombie count in RE5? *begins fanning the flames*
