Viewer request episode: submit here!

As I approach the 30th episode, I'd like to dedicate it to a viewer request idea. Currently, I just posted episode 28 today, so with two weeks to develop and produce, it should be plenty of time.

For the record, I am looking for only honest, non-troll related ideas for this event. Please don't submit an idea that has already been done, considering this will only be the 30th episode it is entirely too early to do a repeat/callback. Pretty much any idea is acceptable, short of anything YouTube won't allow (which so far I haven't found that limit personally as far as material is concerned).

If you want to submit an idea, please do so here. I'd appreciate a quick rundown of the topic, since that will save me a lot of time trying to figure out what you are talking about if it is obscure. You will get credit for the idea, considering this is a viewer request episode I'd be a dick if I left you out of it! I may contact you further for more information about the topic or any statements/concepts/views you want included in said episode. So come one, come all and vent your frustrations here and you just might end up being the 30th episode for the series! I'll review all submissions on the 13th and conclude the winning idea then.

P.S. If you have to ask what series, or insist on posting to this topic asking about who I am or what series I'm talking about, please don't insult me and just move on. I'd prefer people who are serious about this to respond only. Thanks!

I am honestly, seriously intrigued. What series are you talking about? Link please?

And before you go all postal, you needed a bump anyway.

XxRyanxX, that is really not that bad of an idea. Given that it is Black History month, that's not really all that bad of an angle to play either. Even under the guise of living in a supposed "sophisticated modern" culture, we still have our share of ignorance and racism running rather rampant, as if post-terrorism times of hatred against Muslims wasn't a good example of the point. So far my friend, you are a front-runner!

Maybe if you were more open to people asking "what series" you would get more viewers, as it stands I see ONE guy in the entire thread who knew about your series, and he probably saw your post saying "check my profile" and just learned about it.

Your "P.S." seems very condescending, if you want people to figure out what your show is I suggest stepping down from your pedestal, you seem to need every person you can get based on how this thread fared.

How about an episode about online forum roleplaying games? It's certainly an interesting part of geek culture which is often overlooked by most people.

I find it disappointing that people feel the need to nitpick this thread more than actually contribute to it. I appreciate everyone (so far the two of you) who has posted ideas, but I think I am saddened by the fact people don't understand the underlying sarcastic humor I put into the original post. At least two people have already gotten into hot water over this thread, which doesn't bode well for me trying to do this again with such a negative outpouring over a simple thing.

For anyone who is curious, the character in the King of the Herp videos was one I did for over a year before moving it to YouTube on an internet radio show, so there is a history behind it. The show I was working on fell on hard times, and I didn't want to just abandon the character I had created so I simply moved the medium from audio only to including a slideshow to help illustrate the commentary I was making about the topic. If it is not something you'd find entertaining, that's your choice. Complaining about it isn't going to make anything go away, hence why I said don't waste your time. No one is going to approve of anything, and things like this take time to build. Because I have not had a video go "viral" doesn't mean that the videos suck, it is still a series that is less than a year old. There are not a lot of examples in the world of an idea striking it big on the first try and continuing to hit the mark every time after that.

So if anyone else would like to contribute to the cause, I'm still quite open to taking suggestions.

I watched a few of your videos, i cant tell what its supposed to be - The one that sticks in mind is the one about spending...its not funny, its just..ranting.

The thing is, its fine to rant if its funny, or sarcastic in a good way, but it just came across as a bit bitchy - im not trying to be negative, but if you want it to be more popular, or at least clarify if its supposed to be humour, you need make it obviously ironic. If it is just general anger and ranting, then unfortunately its going to draw a lot of hate, especially if you offer no alternatives, Eg:

""X thing" sucks" will draw a lot more hate than "X thing sucks, and probably would be better if X did this instead."

Also...what's "herp?" - is it like "herpy derp"?

I kinda have a similar style to your form of youtube videos, except mine are just silly.

Your voice is just too funny.

OP, as this fella up there said, think before you post. I am quite sure advertising isn't even allowed on here.
Oh, and get off your bloody high horse. Nothing about your content makes you a shining jewel in the crap of YouTube "stars".

Off topic: Captcha is "silly rant".

This seems like advertising, if you want some help add a link to your videos that might help.

I loved your vid. The Escapist forums are the only forums I frequent because the moderators are alert and not shy with the ban hammer. This place has the lowest ratio of trolls I've ever seen.

Didn't this thread die some time ago?
OT: The thing that most surprises me here is the fact that the OP assumes that a decent number of people would already have seen his Youtube show, despite the low number of views.

I just wanted to note that your Video was better then what I have seen so far on OP's youtube Videos.

You were clear, the voice had that British high piked mustache twirling tea drinking funny to it and the video was well put together *even if cheap*.

TC, please, stop, for you own sake. Your videos aren't funny, the voice over is horrible, and the words merge one into another for no reason. To make it blunt, you're video's sound and feel like a China version of MovieBob's videos, coming off and condescending.

There many videos which sound high and mighty, but they make the important step of not making the watcher feel like a cretin.

I mean the video's quality was cheap (the circles around the Neo medal for example).

Sorry about that Governor!

Here's an idea why don't you do another rant about the nature of online viral successes highlighting the very key point that a viral has to be clever, insightful or simply funny. All of which yours fails to do the irony might even generate a sympathy laugh or too?
