Yet those same pitfalls are because of the society's pitfalls. The idea of an uneducated, brutish black man stems from the days of slavery, and certain shows put on by white men painted with black paint. We took everything that has connotations with lower evolution, and applied it to a different group of people often for no actual reason. America had racism from the past, as did Europe and that is where the stereotypes stem from. They are almost never founded on truth, but what we want to believe is true for various reasons. When we take those beliefs, we tend to force the minority into such a tight space that the stereotype becomes reality. Its not founded in basic truth, its founded on subjective views of society (we made it a reality, a changing synthetic truth only held together by the will of the society). Even though people like to think racism is no longer a problem, its still there. The effects of the old days of racism is still around.

You keep saying statistics but fail to grasp what I am really saying. You say its a basic truth, I say its only a truth because of the way society still functions under the old ways of racism and human psychology. Statistics don't factor into it, its what lead to that result.

What the hell are you on about? You need to go away and learn some facts as you are just wrong. The black and white minstrels was simply a show and what does that have to do with blacks committing more crime and doing worse at school? This is not a stereotype but a fact, therefore the rough stereotype is an exaggeration and generalisation of fact. Anyway, it is a stupid point to try to argue as every type of person has been enslaved and suppressed at some point so why are Africans so special?
Offence at stereotypes is only taken when there is truth in them eg. basement dwelling nerds. From my experience this is not always true, but more often the not, it is for those who are into strange fads, hence why they get pissy when it is mentioned. If there was no truth in it, then people would laugh it off as being stupid rather then complaining.

That's because we black people are statistically more likely to live in areas with a higher crime rate, poor education and a bad job market. We are also more statistically likely to live below the US poverty line. It's got nothing to do with our melanin levels, it's got to do with the hang backs from out previous treatment in society. This will all even out, and in fact it already is evening out.

I hope you realise this, and you aren't just being a massive racist.

You are aware that I am not talking about just the USA thus those factors do not always come into it. You also have the issue that this only happens to blacks, when other more poor ethnic groups do not commit as much crime and do better in school even if they are in the same areas or worse. Its the way society is set up that only enforces stereotypes and is directly a result of old lingering racism which in turn is mostly a reaction from evolutionary traits and nationalism carried on throughout time.

But that is wrong. Look at the Chinese stereotype of being smart and successful. Even though it is a stereotype it is quite accurate as Asians tend to do better in schools then any other nationality. Stereotypes are simply wide spread generalisations, thus they will be built around some form of truth, rather then ' how society is setup'.......what ever that means......

The Chinese have held education in high regard, and have done so for centuries. Again, society itself creates the stereotypes and not the minority.
