Watching porn while using someone else's internet

What the title says. Since I am going to stay at student halls during my university studies, I am most likely going to use their internet. Don't misunderstand me. It is not like I am a big fan of animal or child porn. I am just uncomfortable with people knowing what I watch and when I watch it. Could you share your thoughts on this matter? Or post stories from your personal experience.

Two options: one, use a proxy (perhaps?), two, switch to material porn, at least until you're off someone else's internet where you're being monitored.

Do they really monitor the internet use? Do they really care?

In what circumstances will you be viewing said porn? Will it be in public? Or is it your own computer, just with communal internet?. In that case that's not too bad, I'm sure there's some esoteric interweb wizardry that you could pull to mask your presence. But using someone else's COMPUTER to watch porn is just plain gross. Or, in the words of Bubbles, from TPB, "that's gre-he-he-eeaassy". It's also sex-offender creepy to watch porn in public, in case you weren't aware. It just is.

It's cheap, easy and fast.
Just remember to clear your browsing history.

Setting a Proxy in Firefox is so easy though, guess you can also use hidemyass but that one is easy to detect and slows my connection.

Download your porn to a flash drive. There. 1 trip.

Bury it in folders, then set it as a hidden folder. Then encrypt it. Then put a password on it, then change the format to .xml.

I'd go with having it saved on a flash drive. Get what you want before going on someone elses internet and put it on a flash drive. Now you can take your porn where ever you go. And you won't even need the internet!

If you're going into your first year of uni and staying in halls, hopefully your need for porn will be significantly reduced enough to not have to risk it. Wait until after Fresher's week before you worry about it.
