The funniest edit was the two riceballs in front of the little girl's chest being changed to cookies, hahaha.Les Awesome said:I can understand censoring bloodHubilub said:

Actually, that's not censorship. It's always been grape juice. Ace Attorney is just weird like that.Undeadpool said:Those Kirby ones ARE interesting and once again highlight America's bizarre fascination with anger and violence.
I hate how in the Ace Attorney series (Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth et al) you get to hear gruesome details about how people are horribly blugeoned, stabbed and/or shot to death, but when a character (all over legal drinking age) enjoy a refreshing glass of wine, it's changed to grape juice. Like really? Even Harvest Moon, one of the tamest series ever made, stopped that ridiculous bit of censorship after the first game.

You mean like this?SnootyEnglishman said:The most annoying kind of censorship (besides anything by 4kids) is when they change the word instead of bleeping it.

Stop questioning Samuel L. Jackson and shut the belgium up you melon farmer!Frog_Girl said:I think i was watching Pulp Fiction on tv once and they actually substituted "Melon Farmer" for mother fucker. What does that even mean? Why does Samuel L. Jackson feel this is an insult? the FCC needs to get a hobby.
REALLY?! Grown men are drinking grape juice from a bottle that is clearly a wine bottle??? (I'm not doubting you, I'm actually shocked).L1250 said:Actually, that's not censorship. OT: I've always thought it was weird how a movie can have all the graphic violence it wants, but if a boob gets shown for a few too many seconds, then that's just wrong and the movie has to be censored before release or it'll get an NC-17.
I've also heard that a penis being erect automatically warrants a bump from R to NC-17. I have absolutely no idea why.
I can actually understand both, but wa about the censoring of black peopleLes Awesome said:I can understand censoring bloodHubilub said:

dude, japan is weirdtomtom94 said:I know it definitely happens in Japanese-released hentai due to a ban on exposed genitalia in film. Apart from being one of the reasons tentacle rape is so popular over there, it also means that some hentai gets the interesting bits pixellated.titanium turtle said:wait, what?megaman24681012 said:censorship WITHIN porn, a little redundant dontcha think?
It also can happen with other kinds of porn, certainly here in the UK where broadcasting R18 material - even on pay-per-view channels - can get you a fine, because that stuff can only legally be sold in specialised shops. I'm not kidding.
(Before you ask, I know about this only because of Private Eye)
So Americans do alter the art to make the character look more grim or intimidating or something? Not G. Ivingname said:Not much as censorship is it is regional differences, but look at the game boxes for the american and Japanese releases of Kirby games.
