Weird things you catch yourself doing while immersed in a game

For me, holding my breath as I go underwater.


Edit: I guess I might ad that I tend to go through the face motions of "angry shout" without making a single sound while playing games like god of war.
Hopefully while no one sees me.

God of war is after all one of those few games where I'm less "wheeee! Blood!" and more "HULK SMASH".

When playing Manhunt and Thief games, i sometimes was sitting on the edge of my chair and taping my feet on the ground, that probably looks funny.
..well sometimes i go in RPG games and try to be the most evil guy ever lived, but when i get immersed, i just forget about that and just do everything on 100 % good, it that count's as weird.

Sometimes, I'll try to see around cover by sitting up/leaning left or right in my chair as i actually do it in game.

Also, if the cross fire starts to get real intense, I'll find myself so immersed into the combat that I'll actually duck my head when helicopters and harriers pass over head.

And strangely enough, it actually helps me play better.
And because i play laying down, sometimes i catch myself playing games with the controller above my head.

Oh yes. Especially driving games, leaning in as steer the car. I also get really on edge about any noise occuring during stealth games.

I, for some reason stand up when ever something story based or action-y is happening. Dont know why...
One second I'm sitting down, then I look at my body and I'm in the middle of my room, just standing there...

Sometimes in Mirror's Edge I move my head and torso to match with the movements in the game. So when I slide under a table in the game, I duck my head in real life. My friend once said that I looked like a retarded Cobra.

Sway with the movements on screen.

If there's a big chase scene, I'll move with my character. If my character looks around, I'll move my head with it.

I'll also get a pretty serious face when I'm concentrating.

Also, I'll chuck my controller across the room if I'm pissed off and bash my fists into the chair.

In RPGs such as Oblivion, DA:O, Fallout 3 I usually read aloud the line I picked out for my character. To me it makes my character seem more real and I feel more involved in the role.

I totally do this .... "*****" is my favorite word... like... "Eat It *****" when I defeat a particularly difficult enemy.
