Men are 6 times more likely to be struck by lightning than women.

This would seem to be a confusion of statistics and probability. I would say this indicates that men are more likely to be doing an activity that puts them at higher risk of getting struck by lightning. So, 6 times more men than women struck by lightning does not mean men are 6 times more likely to be struck by lightning. Physiologically, there is no difference between men and women to account for even a tiny difference in chance to be struck by lightning (except average height), so it must be due to circumstances placing more men in harms way than women.

That is true, but you could also argue that as men tend to be bigger and more muscular then women, there would be larger amounts of iron in their bodies, making them more conductive. And as you said, men are typicaly taller.

Nope, both those laws are gone. There are no crimes punishable by death in the UK since joining the EU.
