So lately I've been watching a lot of werewolf movies A/ because there pretty damn cool and B/ i am terrified at the concept of them.

so i was wondering what are your favourite werewolf movies, scenes etcetera?

mine is Bad Moon, why? The face of that werewolf is generally terrifying in my eyes, i cannot bear to look at it, i just find it unimaginably Distressing.

(I searched the forums)

Dog Soldiers and an American Werewolf in London are mine, though I haven't seen both in a while.
Will need to dig out my dvd tomorrow.

Don't usually like werewolf stuff but I felt Dog Soldiers made them pretty damn scary, worse than zombies in that situation.

EDIT: Damn my slow typing :p At least I got American Werewolf in

My (and i say this with great shame) younger brother mentioned it to me, he said i shouldn't watch it because i definitely couldn't cope watching it, something about SAS in a mansion or something?

I've seen American werewolf in Paris, that was.. okay i suppose

I haven't really seen any GOOD ones yet, the only ones I've seen were SciFi Original Movies. Yeah.

Sorry for being unhelpful, though I think I want to watch this Dog Soldiers movie now...

Yeah, bunch of army guys stuck in a cottage in Scottish Highlands. Lie the classic "zombie surrounding house" scenario except they are smart-ish. And it is very bloody an violent, so if you aren't into gore then stay clear

As for the other, that wasn't very good but I enjoyed the first one. Even if it wasn't so "scary" it was quite a laugh

I like Ginger Snaps Back, I think the sense of tension and hoplesness created in it is great.

That movie was no good. The original American Werewolf in London is definitely the way to go. It features what is probably the best werewolf-transformation scene ever made.

Dog Soliders is fun. I'll say that. By no means is it a good movie. I felt while watching it that there was a massive amount of plot holes and stupid concepts, or it didn't feel like it was going anywhere fast. But the story of soliders vs werewolves goes down well. It's more action then any type of horror.

Ugh. I saw this one by accident. I was trying to get out American Werewolf in London but found myself with this. Warning to people, this is not any horror nor is it a good movie in the least. I was trying to write out the problems with it, but it just kills the concept of werewolves. It's not very funny, poorly directed, no good actors. It's- it's not good. Don't watch it.

Lastly, if anyone mentions Underworld, I will not hesitate in removing your beating heart.

EDIT

Aggghhh! *Attempts to tear out your beating heart, but finds that you have none!*

I seem to remember being pretty freaked out by them, although they may have been a bit less mobile than werewolves usually are. They are in the shadows for quite a bit, but get up close and personal more as the movie progresses.

Hope you enjoy it

Though if you can't stand werewolves then you are a pretty brave/stupid man :p

The best one is Werewolf [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werewolf_(1996_film)] (also known as Arizona Werewolf), starring Jorge Rivero and Adrianna Miles, supported by Martin Sheen's brother.

American Werewolf in London is FAR better than the crappy American Werewolf in Paris. Definitely one of the better werewolf films out there.

For nostalgia's sake, though, check out The Wolf Man. Kind of cheesy now, but still a classic and still very sad at times. Though the transformation sequence is worth a laugh.

Another oldie is The Curse of the Werewolf. I saw it on AMC a while back during one of their Halloween marathons. Really good, if again, a bit dated.

Also check out the cheesy Wolf, starring Jack Nicholson. A bit slower than most horror films, you still can't go wrong with Jack Nicholson getting more and more predatory as the film progresses.

whats American werewolf in london about anyway (besides wolves in london) isn't the main guy in Paris the main guy in London or did the swap?..

I was wondering when someone was going to mention Wolf man, an epic classic

hell you cant go wrong with just jack Nicholson
