Having read and watched the entirety of the Hunger Games series and not enjoying a single minute of it.

The entire reason I read them in the first place is that my wife, at the time, bought the book set just prior to the release of the first film and then never bothered reading them. This annoyed me enough that I read them personally just so that it would not feel like a complete waste of money.

Then I made a point of watching each and every one of the films because, dammit, I was going to ride this shit train to the end of the line.

Part of the issue with anime is that the faces are made to look childlike with toddler like enlarged features. The other relevant issue is that it is also fairly well known that Japan ALSO has a pedophilia problem as well, so claiming it to be "mainstream in japan" isn't exactly making a case for it. Personally I think some of it comes to them acknowledging that kids start to become sexually curious when they are younger and pandering to that. So they try and make a wide age range of characters to pander to whatever age under 20 or something. I have heard that the age of consent in japan is like 12 or 13 but I also heard that is only between kids of the same age, like two 12 year olds or two 13 year olds. Is pedophilia that widespread in japan? Personally I think some of it comes to them acknowledging that kids start to become sexually curious when they are younger and pandering to that. So they try and make a wide age range of characters to pander to whatever age under 20 or something. But, this is just speculation based on very little research that was mainly just hearing things from youtube vids. I do know that the rounded eyes thing comes from disney though.

According the the data we have though it actually has more to do with the fact that Japan only considers children under the age of 12 to be "minors" sexually and that the only sexual offense that can really be prosecuted against children is actual penetration and even that is difficult to prosecute. They can groom, take photos of, kiss, grope, ejaculate on and do whatever else they want and get away with it there. Child porn is pretty rampant and what legislation does exist is very weak. For example, they can distribute the photos all they want it they place a removable leaf over the parts. That is part of why pedophilia is so widespread and since they wont talk about it openly, nothing is being done to stop it. If you read through some of the links above, you will see where the primary issue comes from.

I have heard that the age of consent in japan is like 12 or 13 but I also heard that is only between kids of the same age, like two 12 year olds or two 13 year olds. Is pedophilia that widespread in japan? I had actually head the opposite, like its actually pretty uncommon, I mean I know they have a lot of that loli crap but I heard that the actual practice was pretty rare.

They do not prosecute it though even when it is a grown man holding hands and kissing a 12 year old girl in public. I have heard quite the opposite, both from what I have been told by my friends in Japan and the evidence that was provided via their actual distribution of child porn. The sheer amount photos of actual children that are being distributed there is ample evidence this is happening more than they want to admit. What is rare is the actual prosecution of it, not the number of events taking place. Anyone looking at the arrest and conviction rate and using that to gauge the problem is going to think it rare when it is not. They are just refusing to discuss it or do anything about it. Claiming it is rare or it isn't happening is more of their refusal to discuss it and further attempt to bury the problem rather than address it.

That's a god point. We need to start printing out porn in case electricity goes away. Pront the movies frame by frame. Instead of a water or fuel-based economy, we will have a paper economy!

I would have to go through too many different artist folders to tell how much was mlp related but I doubt more then 500 megs is.
