Not much really. Most things on my radar so far is stuff that's already been released and I'm just waiting for a deep enough discount. Not many upcoming games. Probably the SMT3 remaster. Maybe The World Ends With You sequel, assuming it doesn't suck, which I'm honestly not holding out much hope for. Couple indies, notably Hollow Knight Silksong and Axiom Verge 2, assuming those'll release this year. But that's fine, got a backlog to work through and like a hundred free games on the EGS store I haven't even touched to fill in any gaps.

Aside from that, I'm in the market for a new gpu at a normal price, but the way things are going, that'll probably be next year at least. Failing that, maybe a PS5, also assuming normal price. But probably also next year, if not later.

Yeah, it's going to be a slow year. I'm guessing that with the general gaming hardware shortages and the swatches of development delays cuz of Covid, I will not be the only one.

Not much at the moment. I am getting Guilty Gear Strive and I've already paid the pre-order for that. I will also get back into Samurai Showdown, as some new characters have been released already, or about to be really soon.

Looking forward to some Switch titles (The World Ends With You Neo, Pokemon Snap, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles) and catching on with past 2 years releases now that they are at lower prices.

My wishlist is to play Kena: Bridge of Spirits. That's really the only "plan", and that's still very much up in the air, as it's mostly dependent on getting a PS 5, and that might not happen for at least another year if not more for me. I know it said it is also available on PS 4, but considering how bad the PS 4 build for CP2077 was, I'm hesitant to try games they try and backfit onto an older platform.

There really aren't any other games I'm eager for, or, well more accurately that I can think of offhand. That's really the only one that instantly comes to mind. If I sat down and thought about it, others, like Stray would pop up, but that's more in the "looks neat, I'd like to play it eventually" category, not "REALLY WANT TO PLAY THIS NAO!" category.

I'm in the middle of my full soul series replay, just beat DS2 a couple hours ago. Will start Nier next before going onto DS3. By the time I'm done with both Guilty Gear Strive will be out so grinding that out competitively will consume a ton of time. I also will have to eventually get a ps5 to play the Yuffie DLC and demon's souls. That's kinda it for now.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits has my attention at the moment. Cutesy action adventure game in the vein of Zelda and maybe a hint of Okami? Sign me up.

It looks really good. I mean, it could be utter crap, but I really hope not. Like happyninja42, I'm going to see how the PS4 version is, it might mean waiting a couple of years until I get a PS5. Please be good.

I didn't see much Zelda but yeah this felt totally like a derivative of Okami to me. Though I'm really not a fan of the art direction. It feels less cutesy and more kiddie in a sense. Could still be a good game though.

Yeah I don't know about the Zelda influence, but a lot of people on YT seem to think so. I recall seeing several reaction videos to the release trailer, that they felt it was spiritually inspired by Zelda. I can't recall if they specifically cited a title, like BotW, given how vastly different the Zelda games are. But it's definitely an comparison that's out there.

I just dig the premise of it, the tone of that first cinematic trailer really hit me in my Yes Please brain stem. This child with a connection to the spirit world, that feels a sense of guardianship over it, discovers a corruption in it, and tries to help/free the spirits. The narrator/antagonist specifically says "You think you can help these troubled spirits" Cut to some of the monsters she will be fighting. So it's implied, between that, and the cleansing energy burst thing she does at the end, that she's going around, literally cleansing the spirits and the land of the evil influence. So she's not killing the spirits, she's getting rid of the stuff making them hostile. Plus, one of her weapons, is collecting an army of adorable little fuzzballs, that are apparently capable of channeling her power into impressive forms of attack, and that just tickles me so much. Like an army of plushies, that when combined, are a titanic powerhouse of asskicking, that's just fantastic.

The music seems to be right in my sweet spot of powerful drums, and high vocals (the trailer music reminds me a LOT of some of the tracks from the Akira soundtrack), sweeping string instruments. It just, feels like it's got a lot of time and attention on aspects that, for me at least, are the kinds of things I want to see in a game. The mechanics of it might be horrible, but so far, I like what I see.

I want to play Bridge Of Spirits too, but that doesn't come out till 2022.
Well that takes a lot of the pressure off for whether I will play it next year. I knew they pushed back release due to covid, just didn't recall when that would push it back.

Make it to 2022.

Edit: Don't know, I'm sitting on a bunch of games. I have Witcher 3 and the FF7 remake, that should take up 600 hours of my life. I guess maybe move on with the Kingdom Hearts series. Just Platted the first game and I have the rest of the series collected in a couple of discs. That should be another 600 hours.

As far as influences, yes there's a little bit of Zelda and Okami, but more so the latter. Yet, I'm seeing hints of Beyond Good & Evil and Pikmin. The visual style has a whole Pixar meets Avatar The Last Airbender feel to it.

Nothing new coming down the pipe interests me in the least, and every time I look at my backlog of unplayed games I let out a piteous whimper, so I just play modded Skyrim and Project Brutality.

Thank you, but I am not exactly holding my breath. If it does; great!

I also for got about NMH3. I will be playing that. I pre-ordered the physical version of NMH 1 & 2 on Switch.

I've been playing a lot of ESO lately, so probably that. But that free Hand of Fate 2 has got me interested...

If I'm not getting it free or cheap, I'm probably not interested. Hades being the one exception last year. My friends and I played Devour together and a new map just came out.

I am a big slut for Remasters, so the Mass Effect trilogy remaster that is coming out in a couple of weeks is definitely on my radar.

I also really like the way that Deathloop looks. It looks a lot like Dishonored, just without the identity crisis.

Otherwise, im morbidly curious about Halo Infinite. I've always been a huge Halo fan (for better or for worse - these days, usually the latter), so the next entry was always something that was destined to be excited for. That said, I have huge suspicions about how this game is going to turn out, and I just cant wait to get my hands on it. I mean, the game is rumoured to be coming out in November this year, and the developers are doing these monthly behind-the-scenes articles about how the game is coming along, but they have yet to show off anything concrete. We get concept art, music tracks, sound effects, and if we are lucky, in-engine 3D models. Since the disastrous reveal in July last year, they have shown off one player-POV screenshot. They even give us verbal descriptions on how it is like to play. No videos. Nothing.

Its so bizarre. I can't wait.

I don't know that there's much announced for this year I'm looking forward to. I'll probably have at least half a good time with Far Cry 6, Far Cry is generally a laugh... but its usually kind of a snack. A fun dozen hours or so, maybe to be replayed once a year later or so if I'm bored. I don't see how it could be an improvement over 5 though. 5's biggest upside was a portion of the game was played in surroundings that I could find within an hour's drive of where I live. 6 is going to lose that, and I don't see how marginally better graphics and at best maybe one gimmick weapon is going to make up the difference. It'd have to be something along the lines of Rico Rodriguez's magic hookshot to have a chance.

I've heard squat for a while about Weird West from WolfEye and Devolver Digital. In fact I just went to check on the latest and got a 502 error on Devolver Digital's website... probably just some maintenance but not an encouraging sign. At least My Time at Sandrock and Team 17 are very active with updates. If that manages to release in 2021... guess that's the one I'm looking forward to. And maybe I'll get the latest Elite Dangerous DLC. If it looks interesting enough. But seeing how my last stint with Elite Dangerous was sidelined by Epic giving away MudRunner and me remembering Penny Arcade did a comic on that game... who knows if I'll ever get back to Elite Dangerous.
