What do people hate about you?

The fact that I'm fundamentally different than most other people. I think and act in ways that most would define unusual, and this seems to upset many. I've been classified as "weird" and "crazy" for as long as I can remember. This used to bother me a lot when I was younger because everybody would make fun of me and I was very lonely; now, however, I wouldn't have it any other way, and I've learned that like-minded people, while rare, are far from nonexistent.

In a more concrete sense, some people find that I have too big an ego and too much self-exteem, though I'm not sure anyone HATES that.

Edit: oh yeah, forgot that some particularly cold people hate the fact that I tend to be touchy-feely.

Edit2: it should be mentioned that nobody I've met so far has HATED me for my strong atheism, though it should also be said that I live in Europe, which is known to be more tolerant for this sort of stuff (yes, even Italy).

My religious beliefs. It is to the point, I will not even speak to my friends about them, but before you get the wrong idea they are not weird, violent, or hateful. Just different.

people hate me for being an asshole and being smarter than I should be. I always answer to everyone at school with clever comments. jokes that they won't get. I also don't give any consideration for other peoples feelings.

Also, I don't trust people.

Despite all this though, I have quite a few good friends and am on good terms with almost everybody somehow.

My friends say I'm arrogant, but I don't really know now anymore, I recently had one of them epiphanies and no longer know what to think, and haven't talked with people much since. I think it's the way I treat nearly everything seriously but relay my thoughts sarcastically and then they get confused.

If I'm in joking mode, which is 95% of the time, I'll have little or no regard for peoples feelings. I don't know if people care about that though. However I rarely admit when I'm wrong and there's something else which I've forgotten.

Perhaps I should clarify a bit. Ummm...I have friends and all. I just have enemies as well, and a general KIND of people that I can't get on with. Sorry if I was sounding like the most hateful bastard in the world, but when I get immersed in a topic, I tend to fly off the handle sometimes.
