What do you think of Telltale's Game of Thrones?

I've only seen a let's play video of it. To me it comes across as "fan service" and/or "cashing in". Some characters from the series seem to make an appearance and do their song and dance routine. I just know some players went "OMG it's Jon Snow!!!" which is probably enough to make the game a success. I prefered they would make their own set of characters and worlds as I liked those best (I know the Walking Dead isn't a new franchise but at least all characters seemed so).
The fan service part is true. Tyrion and Jon Snow make sense, as Tyrion meddles in everything and The Wall is a small place. But there is no need for Cersei and Daenerys. Daenerys in particular was forced as hell. No decent reason was given as to why we need to see her. Doesn't help that the entire Forrester family is trying to be the Starks 2.0. They even try to make Garret sound important to family, when he isn't at all. I enjoy the games and I really like Asher and his companion, but everything is else is pretty meh.
