NONE. It is an unholy abomination equal to infantile necrophilia in a vast majority of cases. The only good film to game conversions that I can think of have been Hunt for Red October (NES), some of the star wars games, and Goldeneye. The day that Uwe Bowell finally is liberated of his body or rights to produce a motion picture is akin to a rebirth of the film industry as we know it and will be celebrated by yours truly by no less than three margaritas, a shot of scotch, and anything in the neighborhood of what I have left from my weekly wages.

But that's just my humble opinion..

I don't know why you'd ask what movies we'd like to see made into games. Every mainstream movie and his dog is having it's own less-than-mediocre game churned out for the (as Yahtzee put it) impressionable thickies.

I'm really sick of movie-game shit-fests (I'm looking at you Transformers.)

And as for game-movie transitions, I'm going to see the Metal Gear Solid movie even if it does become a honking great bucket of crap.

In a perfect world, where movie/game cross-overs are actually good, I'd like to see a movie based on Shadow Hearts or Starcraft. As for the other way around, I can't really think of any movies lately that'd make a good game no matter who made it.

I do look forward to the .Hack//GU movie, but that's obviously not in the same sense as this thread is asking about.

Let me see, I think a few of the Kubrick and Lynch movies should turned in to games, like Space Odyssey, Clockwork Orange, Shining, Twin Peaks, and Lost Highway etc. I dont really know if you they would turn up good but I bet if you get one of the really great game directors, like Shafer, Ancel, Suda 51, and maybe even Kojima, could come up with something really orginal if given enough liberties with the concept.

And as far as game that I think would make a good only Planescape Torment comes to mind right now.

Don't forget a great video game adaptation would be Lynch's Blue Velvet. How would you control Hopper's scene (pretty much any of them)?
The other way around would have to be a Ninja Gaiden movie.

Oh! Oh! They should do a Halo/Half-Life double feature!

...Take a deep breath fanboys, I'm only kidding. But when this question is asked you have to think, "what makes a good game?". The answer? Gameplay. Storyline plays a big role, but if the game plays like shit, then there it will not be very popular. The problem comes when people try to make a movie out of something that is not focused on story. Look at Bloodrayne. Yes uwe boll (he does not deserve to have his name capitalized) had a big hand in that movies downfall, but you have to admit it would have taken an amazing director to have that movie be anything better then "average".

If we say that anything suggested here would be made successfully, then I would have to go with Overlord. If for nothing else then to see a movie with a bad guy as a hero (Star Wars does NOT count).

By the way, am I the only one on the friggen planet that liked the Transformers movie?

Sierra is the ONLY company that can make a great movie-game. Their track record is spottless from what I've played. The GhostBusters will be a testament to that.

Movies into Games:
* Kill Bill
* DeadWood
* Predator 1
* BloodSport
* Harry Potter (properly)

Games into Movies:
* Shinobi
* Actraiser
* Otogi
* Castlevania
* Rumble Roses
