What forgotten game/IP do you wish to be revived for the current-gen?

For me that would definitely be Manhunt. One of my fave PS2 games. The game is notorious for its violence but I also think this is still the best stealth-horror game ever made. There is an escalating sense of progression in this game as enemies get more dangerous while your arsenal to deal with them gradually improves from ehm.. 'random' items to guns with limited ammo. Becoming slightly more action oriented while still keeping the focus on stealth as weapons remain underwhelming in the face of overwhelming adversary.

This is one game that had me firmly grip my controller start to finish. Incredibly dark but also incredibly awesome. Constant suspense but never frustrating. Very impressive damage model for its time with a spooky soundtrack that sets the mood. I wish they made a proper sequel in glorious new-gen graphics. After the excellent Max Payne 3 and GTA5 I know Rockstar can pull it off.

So please gimme a sequel!!! :p The original game is also on PSN. Obviously not in Australia b/c there the government decides what you can or can not play.

Can I just list every single first party IP by Nintendo and Sony which haven't had games in ages? I mean hell, Sony actually has a lot of first party IPs, despite what people think. I just want my Ape Escape 4 dammit, or at least and Ape Escape HD collection for the PS4.

One of these-
PN03 (imagine if Platinum Games got the right to that game? It would be perfect!)
Gotcha Force
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Phantom Crash

May I have a new Suikoden numbered game please? Like Suikoden VI? Yeah, let's go with VI. There's still plenty of lore left to explore and stories that haven't been told yet. Plus, I know of a few mysteries that the series just kind of left hanging.

I'd really like to see a new Steambot Chronicles game, even just a remaster of the old one would be welcome. Same with Disaster Report, though given that Irem disolved their video game devolpment wing in 2011, I doubt it will ever happen.

Loads but I would really like a Darkstalkers 4 game but they just seem intent on re-re-re releasing Darkstalkers 3 and then using lack of sales as evidence that there is no interest which is just idiotic.

Also would love a new Okami game by Platinum and a new Valkyria Chronicles game on PS4.

Mercenary. You know the gleeful destruction could be a good fit on the new consoles. Also gleeful destruction is just fun.

A new Unreal. Not Unreal Tournament, just Unreal. It was a really outstanding shooter for its time, with a not-so-great-but-still-good sequel.

I'm seconding this. V was better than IV and all, but it would be nice if there was another installment with updated graphics and the quality of II.

Has there been a Monster Rancher game since the PS2 era? Because that's my pick.

I want a new monster raising sim that's more Rocky than Pokemon. Set their regime, make sure they're fed and healthy and balance their praise and scoldings so they don't get too complacent or frustrated.

Plus, I always thought the "use other game and movie discs to create new monsters" feature to be really neat even if it rarely worked on my old PS2. Though in all probability they might replace that with *shudder* DLC instead.

Can I have my Metroid-style Castlevanias back?

In addition to Metroid?

And also F-Zero. Jesus christ, we need a new F-Zero game.

Well, IMO, there's a mountain of RTS-IP's that go underutilized these days. But first on my list would probably be a new strategy game set in the Dune universe.

Oh, and also: A proper sequel to Outcast. Just to fulfill my quota of wishful thinking..

How about a Viewtiful Joe 3? We never got the conclusion to what was supposed to be a trilogy of main titles, and the series went out on a whimper with a lackluster Super Smash Bros. knock-off.

Figures the one Capcom IP I really liked was the one that didn't get a butt-ton of sequels. Cry me a river, Mega Man fans.

This second one isn't any particular series, but I'd love to see a return of combat flight and space games like Tie Fighter and Red Baron. Games that strode a fine line between simple arcade and overly complex simulator, with engaging flight controls, long campaigns and white-knuckle action.

It?s not unforgotten, but I will never stop pushing for a Wii U port of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. Multiplayer for that game demanded that the players connect their gameboys to their GCNs and it was kind of a pain. Not only that, but it caused my R buttons to break on both of my gameboys. BUT, now that the Wii U had a screen on the controller, I think it should re-release the game. The game was a freaking blast and I still play the single-player mode. Now let me play multiplayer again, but without crippling my gameboys.

Hmmmm, Eye of the Beholder? Ooooh, oooh, Space 1889... No, wait, Crimson Skies. Or maybe Mechcommander. Although Rules of Engagement/Breach was an awesome double-act.
