This doesn't have to be a title that's coming out this year; it could be anything that's just been hinted at or maybe just something you want to see that no-one else is thinking about.

For me, it'd be whatever Oddworld has in the pipe. Apparently, they've decided to come back to games and have started making a new one that won't be out for a few years yet.

But if it was just this year taking into consideration, I'd have to say either Gears 2 or Dead Space.

What about you?

[Edit]
And now I realise that the title is a little bit iffy. Sorry for that, but most people can make sense of it anyway

I hate to be a wannabe mod, but... Use the search function, very similar threads have cropped up recently.

Now I've forgiven myself for being a brown nosing douche; I'm looking forward to Fallout 3, Fable 2, Spore, Left 4 Dead, RE5, Viva Pinata 2 (I'm awesome), and plenty more that I can't be bothered to name.

Fallout 3
Diablo III
Too Human
Disgaea 3
Mercs 2
Fable 2

And I feel really kinda sad that only ONE (UND PRECISELY VON!!) game on my list isn't a sequel.

Oh, I forgot Prototype and Infamous. Damn, I can't make a Yahtzee quote to that....so I'm going to leave the one I did.

I did see one thing about a new game that has the most realistic water-effects in the known universe. It takes place on an oil-rig (I think), the thing is that if you burst a water pipe, there's a set amount of liquid in it that will realistically flood the room until it can no longer flood it, and objects will float and react with the water. I can't remember what it's called, it might be Aquaphobia or something similar.

Mercenaries: World in Flames.
I bought the original and loved it. It looks like the sequel can only add to the mayhem with the possibilities next-gen consoles bring to the table.

Fallout 3
It looks great, and even though I haven't played any of the earlier games in the series, I think I'll enjoy this sci-fi apocalyptic FPS.

Spore
I haven't purchased Creature Creator yet, but I've tested it out. As soon as I get a computer that can run Spore, it's definitely a must-have.

Dead Space
It looks great, and it seems like it'll differ from the usual zombie gorefest. E3 showed promising stuff, and more proof that this'll be a hit for holiday '08.

Wrath of the Lich King
It has an October-November release date, and the level 80 cap will be sure to bring me back to WoW. It also looks to increase WoW's player base significantly.

Mirror's Edge, the one I look foreword to the most, which coincidentally is the only one not a sequel.
Gears 2, need I say more?
Force Unleashed, technically not a sequel, but a spiritual sequel to Jedi Knight series so I'm counting it
RockBand 2, yay, they're releasing an accurate guitar with it
Fallout 3, MAYBE. I've never played the originals.
Project Origin, the REAL sequel to F.E.A.R, Monolith lost the rights to the name, it will be ignoring Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate's additions to storyline, yay since they sucked.

Now then, if you haven't noticed that most of these are sequels, CLAP CLAP OI!!!
Sorry, had to get the Yahtzee reference.

Hmm, I'm looking forward to Killzone 2, Dawn of War 2, and because of all the bile it seems to be getting for such a funny concept I really want Fat Princess now.
