Again, it really depends on to what you're referring. The terms "game tester" and "QA" are often used interchangeably, even though the duties are as different as, to use my prior example, an editor for a publisher -- and the friend who reads your book and tells you how good it is while pointing out a few typos.

Also, it's times like these I'm glad to be a suit, or at least well on my way to being one. It so happens I wouldn't mind investing in this industry if I had anything like the coin required.
