WRPG, Competitive MMORPG's, RTS games and Adventure equally.

I used to play FPS games competitively, but they started to suck after CoD:MW.
Tried Battlefield BC2? I'm having loads of fun playing it, even though my mind cannot comprehend why it is not possible to join a game as a group/squad.

OT: Probably FPS. I play a lot of wrpgs and action adventures too.
It is, you just have to go into a different menu. "Play with friends" instead of "Play now". You can make squads from there.
OT: I mostly play FPSs. I just find them the most fun.

Argh, I can't restrict to one genre.
My favorite ones are MMORPG's, FPS and platforming/adventure games. Out of those I've gotten the most fun from MMORPG's, so let's go with that.

Also believe there was a thread just like this one a few days ago. It had a poll!

Any game that combines strategy with rpg elements is pretty much guaranteed my love. From King's Bounty and Heroes of Might & Magic to Dawn of War 2 or the more obscure King Arthur or X-Com, I love em all!

Mmm... And an rpg with tactical or strategic elements like Temple of Elemental Evil or Baldur's Gate? Aw hell yeah!

Used to play a helluva lotta shooters, was even a pretty damned good hand at Unreal Tournament. But other than Bad Company 2, I've mostly been playing other genres lately. Shooting people just ain't as visceral or fun as it used to be, not unless it's spruced up with something else to keep my interest like STALKER.

Pretty much everything.

To illustrate, I love games like Rock Band, Resident Evils, Dragon Age, Oblivion, Civilizations, Back to the Future, Metroids, Zelda's, Mario's, Street Fighters, Uncharted, Puzzle Quests, Advanced Wars, NHL series, Diablo's, Guild Wars, Starcrafts.

Pretty much every genre but mini-games.

I do try to play everything but mostly RTS, MMO, Shoot-em-up, Adventure and Platformer. Well, I used to anyway. Haven't found I'm really interested in for awhile now.

Hmm, I would say most genres but for me, I do enjoy FPS and RPG games... and enjoy Action-adventure games, but to me they don't make them like they used to, Sands of Time is probably my favourite of that genre.

Pretty much everything except sports and party gaming. It sounds like a lame answer but I really do try to play a whole bunch of different game genre and enjoy pretty much all of them. If I had to narrow it down I'd probably go with an action/rpg combo, although I think I'm starting to grow out of my RPG phase for now.

I play pretty much every genre of game out there with the exception of Sports sims, and I'll even play those if they throw in Mario or something. Racing games, I only really like kart racing games and burnout. Don't really like military shooters, but set it in space and I love 'em. I'm an extremely casual player of fixed plane fighters and RTS games because I really like both genres, but suck at all of the games I've played. I play more RPGs than anything else, and prefer the good old Japanese style.

Action adventure games (Ninja Gaiden Black) will always be a staple for me. Old school J-RPG's are great (FF4, FF6). But I've always had a soft spot for lightgun games; yeah it's a bit gimmicky, but shooting terrorists in the dick with a recoiling lightgun is still good fun. Metroid style games have great replay value, too.
