I am a lover of games of timing, accuracy, and quick, simple plans.

Which mostly means Action-Adventure, Platformers, and Shoot-em-ups.
I would include driving games, but my PC doesn't have analog sticks or triggers for precise steering and breaking.

I love a good fight, the conflict makes drama, the danger is thrilling, and the skills I use are refreshingly different from my humdrum, day-to-day life.

So, naturally, I'm a bit worried about the "Violent Videogames" controversy, I'm worried that, at some point in the next decade, developers might have to make something like Hayes' Code, or The Comic Book Code.

Imagine how many sequels and reboots would be cancelled, or be made drastically different from the franchises they claim to be part of.

Our stream of beloved shooters would run dry.

And what about our action-adventure games? What are the heroes of those going to do? Developers would just come up with a load of cheap gimmicks to attempt to replace combat.

Also, what would we do in RPGs? See how well our new +3 Boots of Impermeability fare against those Scary Swamp Puddles?

We already had something SORT of like that. In Ultima IV.

It was one of the best CRPG's ever made.

Well, if it happened to the Splinter Cell series I would be overjoyed. Finally, Stealth games moving in the right direction!

Also if you want to know what would happen if something like that were to happen just look at how videogames have dealt with ratings issues in the past: The reason the aliens blood is purple and orange in the Halo games was to avoid the 18 rating in the UK; red blood would have been considered too realistic, but fluorescent blood gushing out of the broken alien bodies you've just slaughtered, well that's fine and dandy.

Tried that in Dishonoured. Hardest, most frustrating thing ever but the most satisyfying way to play that game.

Also, not going to ever happen because too many people would outcry against that. Remember SOPA?
Also, it would possibly negatively effect businesses/corporations/investments which the US gov never ever wants to be known to have ever done. Ever.
