What is the end goal of Fallout Shelter?

I've played it for two days now and I don't see that there is anything left to do. I've got around 26 vault members; 2 triple wide rooms of power, water, and food; a couple additional rooms; more weapons and armor than I need for guards or exploration; maxed out stimpacks and radaway; I got a happiness rating of 95% on both of my evaluations; and Joe King has fathered an army of Joe juniors.

My people are comfortable and happy, so what is there left to do? Sure, I do see how far the screen goes down, I could keep building. What's the point though? That would require more power for rooms which would require more people which would require more food and water and also that Joe King keeps every woman in the vault knocked up, and what would I get from it?

So am I missing something? Is there more to the game? Because it feels like I've already won and seen all it has to offer.

Also, does it bug anyone else that each level only has enough room for 2 and 5/6 triple wide rooms?

Ever play Tiny Tower? This is Tiny Tower going downwards. The point is to go further down, have more people and have more stuff.

I guess you could try to level someone up to explore for 60 hours straight to get some awesome gear if you want to but that isn't the end game either, there really is none. It's a time waster, period.

Yeah, the room thing is annoying. I usually just have the 2 section room as a living quarters or a storage room. It actually works okay for a science lab or a med bay as well. Just not a production room.

Well I guess once you build all the rooms, and have a few Dwellers with perfect stats, the goal is to get all the rare weapons and amours, if you care about dwellers you can try and reach the 200 dweller limit and then get them to all perfect special stats. But really the endgame of Fallout Shelter is pretty weak, the Deathclaws and Molerat attacks give you an incentive to get the rarer more powerful weapons and train your dwellers, but theirs no real endgame.

To be fair its just a mobile game, your not really supposed to be playing it for hours, I usually play while I'm watching a Youtube video or something, just tapping the screen occasionally when something is going on.

Hold you over until Fallout 4 comes out.
Congratulations you won the thread.

If you still want to play it try to make "social experiments", for example "Craster's vault" where you have only one male and all the other males are sent to the wasteland to die.
I'm already sort of getting that by accident. There's so many girls it's unholy. But the game is coded to not include incest so sadly that means no Craster's Vault.

If you guys enjoy Fallout Shelter, you might like Sheltered. It's on Steam early access. It's a very simple game, but it's a procedurialy generated world that your vault is in. You have to build up devices to help you survive, find ways to store water and food, and get supplies to survive the radiation on the surface, when you go out to scavenge. It's really fun, and pretty harsh, as you can have something happen that will basically screw your entire game. Some maps you are just screwed. But it's on a much smaller scale. Instead of an entire vault of people, you have 1 family. 2 adults, 2 children and a pet. You can mix up the genders all you want, and name them and the family what you want.

My family is the Mistie Family. The adults are Mike and Joel, and the kids are Crow T Robot and Tom Servo. The dog is Gypsy. xD I have a lot of fun with it, even though it is fairly barebones right now, but they're adding new content.

So if you like this type of vault/apocalypse survival management game, you might like Sheltered.

its a time waster game and as for the end goal? well what ever you choose to make it. sounds like you need specific goals for your games so its not for you
