Hello,

So theres many good and bad games i have played in my lifetime. and many terrible games too. and many overrated games too. so in this thread lets talk about worst game you have ever experience.

to me. its no other than Prince of Persia 2008

Almost 10 years ago. Ubisoft released a game simply title prince of persia and it was reboot of series. I was not a huge POP fan but quite like sands of time. but this game?? I cant see how can any game can be worse than this crap. this is the game that make assassins creed feel like hardcore game. this is the game where you press a button and show you where to go by some elika magic. and when you fall, she save you.

there is no combat in this game. instead just QTE press button. you can never die, NEVER!!

others i can say about tomb raider reboot and its sequel rise of tomb raider. they sum up how not to make games. but atleast those games. you can fall down, you can die.

so my friends, what is the worst gaming experience you ever had?

Like worst game that I actually played through completely?

Cause I'd have to get through a decent sized list of ones that were literally unplayable before we got to that.

Anyhow, back on some 1001 Shareware games CD someone brought me from some flea market or so. (Most of which probably could be contenders), there was a game called LoveDos or something similar. Which used basically the logic of a prank virus. Essentially, you'd run it, and it turned Dos into a weird dating sim (?) that was obsessed with you. All text based, and there was some actual command or series of them that would finish the game, but in the fine tradition of text-parsing games, good luck figuring out the exact wording. All while the screen background blinked eye piercing red with every line.

Alone In The Dark (2008). That was just a horrible, horrible game. I was also duped in to trying several visual novel "games" and walking simulators.

Seems people here have much lower bars for 'worst game ever' than I thought. Prince of Persia 2008 was at least functional and even Yahtzee said some good things about it, though of course it could never compare to the Sands of Time trilogy. Clearly the OP never tried Prince of Persia 3D.

I likely played my fair share of broken, glitchy NES games back in my day (I remember Home Alone, but I actually had some fun with that game because it was kind of amusing to elude Harry and Marv with your traps for a while, though not for the 20 minutes you needed to). However, for ruined potential combined with brokenness, grating voices and various other aggravations too numerous to list, Mega Man X7.

Burn it to the ground!

So scripted and boring. Might as well have played Call of Duty.

Whoever designed that menu system and splitscreen should be shot with, like, a BB gun. Rest of the game us an unbalanced mess too.

This is only the most recent bad game, mind. I need to put these things out of my mind fairly quickly.

Ditto. The regular part was bad, but then the car parts were even worse, iirc.

I'd erased that game from my mind until you mentioned it.

I once had the pleasure of playing Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing, but namedropping that is kind of cheating. The easy way out. It barely even counts as being a game.

The worst I've played that can be called a game is Sonic The Hedgehog 2006.

You know what's worse than Alone In The Dark (2008)? Alone In The Dark (2008) Wii version. But it's tied up with Ghostbusters for the Wii.

Let alone on how hideous the models look like, the gameplay is repetitive, glitches are distracting and the gameplay becomes very repetitive. My major grief was how the unlockables break the gameplay at the end.

You, my friend lived a charmed life gaming wise if that's as bad as it's ever got for you.

Someone's already mentioned Plumber's Don't Wear Ties, so I'll add my second worst game I ever played.

The PS3 port of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. An ugly, glitchy, borderline unplayable experience.

Some people will often connect personal distaste or their own lack of skill as signs of a game's poor quality. Makes life simpler.
