I love puzzle games and feel that they don't get the credit they deserve. What would you say is the best or most important one. Clearly tetris and portal will be in there I personally love mercury meltdown, lumines (and everything q entertainment pumps out), fantavision and puzzle dimension on steam (as well as the similar kula world)

My favorite is Tetris. Sure, Portal was 10/10 material, but you can't ever tire of Tetris.

Well, like you say, Tetris and Portal are obvious, but they're really the only one's I've played. Can I say the Riddler sections of Arkham Asylum? I know it's not strictly a puzzle game, but the riddles were my favourite parts.
Not even braid? I'm actually really tempted to get your steam name and send it too you. Might wait till the sale though...

They're not popular at all look how many people have written on this thread. I bet you if I make a Whats your favourite FPS thread it will be packed within minuetes. Its a shame they are so innovative, Same with rhythm action games noone gives a toss about them but something like gitaroo man or rez are undeniably awesome

I really enjoy The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom.
Whats that like? I was thinking about picking it up
Startlingly difficult, though I could just be retarded. It has a great art style, and interesting narrative, and is simply jolly good fun. I'd happily pay $20 dollars for it.

Braid. Portal. The whole Myst series (if you count these as puzzles)

I hate puzzle games with a passion. I have never played one that I enjoyed even a little. Every single one of them is garbage...

Other than Professor Layton (best puzzle game, DS game, and 3rd best game of all time) I happen to love World of Goo. It's pretty much a perfect game.

Myst, which was what got me into gaming.

Portal's pretty good, too. Tetris never gets boring.

Regardless, I've been ninja'd on all three counts, so I guess I win the most unoriginal post of the day award.
