Really? All it did to me was make me depressed. Seriously, I was in tears about every 4-6 episodes. Still, Clannad (and Afterstory) are pretty much the only series I've watched right through, so it wins.DarkRyter said:Clannad Afterstory.
It made me feel just a bit more human.
You loved Lucky Star despite having only watched three anime series?! ... ?! ... ??SirBryghtside said:I've only watched about 3, but out of those Lucky Star. That's one of my favourite TV shows of all time as well.
GitS beats out Birdy: The Mighty, because of the philosophical elements to it, the story has so many layers, the characters a mite more fleshed out, and <spoiler=Season 2 spoiler>the death of the Tachikoma makes me cry every time ;_;Genuine Evil said:Ill go with ghost in the shell
It was the first anime I?ve seen that actually discussed interesting questions in a mature and thought provoking way.
A similar series (in terms of feel, but not approach) is Hyakko!, with a rather zany form of comedy but without the references. You might enjoy that.SirBryghtside said:I know, and there were so many times I really wanted to get the references... although I do know quite a bit about animé culture, so some of the more obvious references were great.
And there was so much humour apart from that, I think people's vision gets clouded. It's an incredible series regardless.
Yeah, good series, which order you watching it in, chronological? or broadcast?I'm watching Haruhi now, if that's any consolation![]()
Avatar: TLA is not an anime. It's a cartoon in anime style.thespyisdead said:just to be a combo breaker, i will say Avatar.
