What level in The Elder Scrolls V:Skyrim has Daedric Armor started appearing as random loot for you? Since The Elder Scrolls Wiki says Daedric Armor starts appearing as random loot around lvl 48.
And btw what is the quickest way of getting the Smithing skill to lvl 90 after the patch that put an end to the easy Smithing lvling by crafting lots of iron daggers?

Jewelry is the way to go; Period end statement. The materials are plentiful enough, especially if you complete the 'no stone unturned' quest (suffice to say that the reward for that quest is a passive ability that will have you swimming in gemstones by the time you finish the next dungeon) and can become even more abundant once you learn the spell 'transmute' (each cast turns a chunk of iron ore in your inventory into silver, or a chunk of silver ore into gold), each crafted item increases smithing by a decent margin, and it turns a pretty nice profit, especially if you have the sense to slap a soul siphon enchantment on one of your weapons, filling up the countless soulgems you end up with and using them to enchant those rings necklaces and circlets you make. End result: Fast progression of smithing and enchanting, great profit margin and you get rid of a lot of the clutter in your inventory.

With a high enough Smithing level, you won't even need Daedric Armor, you can simply improve current armor you have at a smithy and it can give a good enough damage resistance that it reaches the resistance cap. (If I remember, Orcish armor reinforced to Legendary can reach this cap.) Considering how lower tier armor is a lot more common, weighs less, and in my opinion is more appealing than Daedric armor, that's what I'd do.

I never tried to level up Smithing though. I used it to get rid of furs I looted off animals and bandits and that was it. If I had an expanded Smithing mod, I'd use it to craft arrows.

EDIT: I never progressed far enough in one Skyrim character to actually find Daedric items. I was running an Ebony bow and two Ebony swords on my furthest Skyrim save, a Wood Elf who made it around level 34, but I never saw Daedric anywhere.

Thank all for replying to my thread.Your information and tips are much appreciated. And btw there's plenty of dubious YouTube vids on how to apparently get stuff early in Skyrim.Might try one or two out over the next 3-4 days and besides Daedric Armor and Weapons looks so cool and bad *** plus it make Intimidation 10% easier according to the TES Wiki.

It should be noted that you can reach the cap even with light armour. I managed to do it with a gilded elven set. It takes a great deal of preparation, however. Smithing gear and such. If you're -really- dedicated (and bother with alchemy) I bet you could make a hide armour that reaches the defensive cap!

For me Daedric Armor started to appear around at level 70.(as a loot. Not so sure about shops.)

However it was still very rare.

As for smiting, you can either take up "No stone upturned" like others mentioned... but it is pain in the arse so it is up to you.

Second option is visiting every iron mine+transmute ore and Kolskeggr mine to create lots of gold ring.

Last option I recommend is to practice alchemy. *warning: may create significant gap between your combat skills and crafting skills, as well as your enemies.*

At low level of 1~25, take up alchemy, create strong "fortify alchemy" items and create 3 ingredient potions. with correct buffs and combinations of ingredients you should be powerleveling alchemy and level really fast.

For each level talk to Eorlund Gray-Mane and receive training. Sell back your potions to get your money back.
For me this was least hassle free option.

Couldn't really tell you due to how long it's been since I last played Skyrim, though I remember very rarely ever finding any Daedric items from random loot.

That's very true. Flip side is that it gets those dang stones of Barenziah out of your inventory at long last and the major frustration of it can be mitigated by installing a simple mod which adds quest markers to the stones (Incidentally, I just checked the Steam Workshop and it's STILL the top mod)

What level are you at?

Daedric Armor ways a whopping 81 points of inventory space, without counting daedric shields or weapons. You best leave such armor till level 25-30 when you have high stamina or Heavy Armor conditioning perk. Otherwise you are severely handicapping inventory space for loot.

It's also major overkill if you get it too early.

EDIT: Just to add on topic, Daedric Items have a 20% less chance of spawning then all other items, armor or weapons. Even on really late games (50+) they will still be a very rare sight.

They should start appearing in levelled lists at around 48~ or so, but you'd be better off trying to get it from smiting or discovering recipes for the Magical forge under the College.

Just remember, if you find a Daedra Heart, don't sell it. Keep them all.

Well it's worth noting that if you get Mehrune's Razor you kinda also get a ready supply of Daedra hearts. Those Dremora who spawn at the end of it, both in and out of the shrine? They respawn every [ingame] week after you complete that quest...as does much of the loot (like the gold and ebony bars) inside the shrine.

I just got them form the "black market guy in the college of winterhold. Piss easy to get in and by the time I could make Daedric he sold plenty of them.

If you want to save money by mining your own ore a good way to speed up the process is to dual-wield pickaxes.

Also Babette in the Dark Brotherhood frequently sells them too. Not every time, but more frequently than any other Alchemist vendor in Skyrim.

Anyway, I can't really remember which level you encounter Daedric items, but according to the Wiki it's just below the max 'loot level' 50 (any quest rewards are maxed out to this level), so apparently at level 48 you can find them. Those Dremora at Mehrunes Dagon's shrine drop Deadric swords each time once you hit that level.

But don't be too eager to level quickly using passive skills to get there, or you'll have a really tough time. As a pro tip to leveling combat skills, learn some Conjuration spells, then summon things and attack them with whatever desired weapon skill. If they're a high enough level to go hostile before you actually kill them (the Conjuration skill will only increase if they go to attack, even if it's you), you can let them rail on you for some armour or even shield skill leveling. You can also utilize Restoration if you're wanting to go with that. Basically, you'd be leveling a good 4-5 skills at once, while keeping yourself combat-ready.

Open the console and type: player.setav smithing 90
Alternatively, player.advskill smithing 500000 will add the XP to the skill so the player levels up as normal. The first simply sets the value without any levelling.
