What makes you keep a game?

i wont trade in a game if i think its got some replay left in it or if its a collectors i ust to trade in my games alot soon as i completed them but i ended up never having that many games and if i got board or frustrated with the one i was playing i didnt have much of a choice to pick from so now i feel that its best to keep hold of the good games even if i dont feel like am going to play them for awhile least their there if i ever want to go on them again, the only games that i would trade in now would be a game that i tottally hate or a game that i know i wouldnt find any reply value in what so ever

I tend to trade in games when I get into money crunch mode and then usualy if its a game I liked with the intention of buying it again when its dirt cheap

very rarely trade in or sell my games unless I absolutely can't get into it. Oblivion is a recent example. Traded it in, got borderlands. I do lots of research before making purchases, so I keep my games because I truly enjoy them. Who knows, maybe one day they'll be rare.

If I truly loved them, whether for story or gameplay or it was just great altogether. There's even been times I've regretted trading in a game like Kingdom Hearts 1.

Easy, I'm a fucking pack rat and just DON'T SELL THINGS LIKE THIS.

I don't trade in games, I don't sell old CD's, I don't pawn off DVD's, I don't yard-sale my cassette tapes, I don't donate my old vinyls, I don't hock off my old books.

Once a piece of media comes into my possession I will probably never get rid of it.

This is almost entirely true for me, the only times I stop maintaining possession of a game is when a) I lose it, or b) when we are trading in the console for the next gen stuff (which I think we did once to get a PS2 (... I miss my N64 *sad face*))

I haven't traded in a game in over 3 years. Part of it is because I don't buy games I'd be willing to trade in, and part of it is me "fighting The Man". "The Man" of course being Gamestop.

I don't ever sell my games unless they're absolutely terrible or if I'm selling them towards a new system

I did that with the PS3. I traded in all 78 PS2 games to get a PS3 and now I'm saving up enough money to buy it back.

I have never traded in a game. It's not that I dislike the practice or anything but my games generally get lost or stolen before I get a chance to. As of this moment I only own 1 video game that is currently in my possession and it only became mine less than a month ago. Actually that's a funny story...

I try and keep all my games. That way, I don't have to rent them if I ever want to play them again. I just go over to the TV and fire up a console. Admittedly, I'll probably sell them all to buy a next gen console when they come out.
