Waiting on Skyrim I am curious what race and playing style will you be playing in Skyrim. You can many different ones.

These are my main two:
Male Nord Warrior
Female Breton Mage

Female Bosmer Assassin, specialising in dual-wielding daggers and the bow.
Female Breton Mage, don't know in what direction to build her yet though.
Male Redguard Warrior, most likely sword and shield combo.

Redguards look really good in this game.

Nord or Redguard.

Probably go with a heavy armor sword and shield warrior the first time through.

Not very original, I know.

Khajiit have always been my favorite race, so my first character will be one. Khajiit Thief/Assassin has always been my first character in these games.

The redguard look like human-eared drow on steroids. Probably going to make one of them.

That said, this will be my first ES game, and I've no idea what any of the races are like beyond appearance or how it will affect my character.

First I'd go for a Nord warrior, just because it would sorta fit. But aftarward I'd definitly go for an Argonian, probably a mage of some kind, love those guys.

High Elf Mage. Master of all things arcane.

Racist as hell, arrogant as hell.

Second character will be a moon-sugar addicted Khajiit thief.

Probably go Nord.

Bathesda said they are aiming to release the Creation Kit on launch day so I may have a play around and make my own race depending how hooked I get on the game.

Argonian. Don't care about the poor skill bonuses, that doesn't matter much when you can train up your skills by, well, actually training. That just leaves the racial power, and I do love being able to dick around on the bottom of a lake when there are ogres trying to bash my head in with rusty pipes.
Oh, and I like lizards.

A kajitt assassin. Who either dual wields daggers or has a sword and a dagger. That or a wood elf with a bow.

Khajit something. Don't know what till i actually mess around with the various combat styles first. But if there is a thieves guild in this one, i'll prolly end up playing a thief-like character first.

Nord, probably a warrior with a greataxe. I'm a simple man of simple tastes, and the idea of playing as basically a viking is simply too fun sounding to pass up.

First character will be a Dark Elf focusing on destruction, illusion, sneak and stealth weapons (short blades and bows).

Second character started as a joke I said to my friends that I now will turn into reality: Zoidberg the Argonian.

1. Argonian or Khajit assassin using bows and poisons and if it works out then dual wielding knives. Focus on setting up each kill and if things go south on using speed, agility and the area over strength.

2. Redguard warrior, heavy armour + sword and shield. Unoriginal but the redguards look too beast to pass up.

3. Mage of some kind, breton? Straight up magicker as much as is possible.
