What race to go for when starting a vampire lord character.

So, dawnguard's out on 360, as you may have heard (and complained about if you're on ps3 or pc, but please don't hate on us players for it, we know damn well it's unfair, it's not as if we demanded it be done on 360 first), and I'll be betting that many of us who considered vampirism a nuisance before are seriously considering going all dracula, and I think I'm not the only one who thought "wait...won't being a vampire make things difficult for even my evil character?" because of stuff like not being able to go out in the day, etc, so I'm betting many of us are gonna start new characters for that.

The main thing is...what to choose? What race combines with vampire lord powers to the best extent? What would feel and look right to be a badass, completely evil, demonic bloodsucker as?

So, I started this thread to ask advice, both for myself, and anyone else faced by this dilemma, thus it not being posted in advice where it's unlikely to be seen by all the people who are wondering the same thing. What do you think would go best?

Personally:
I would have thought that stealth would be important, but I don't ideally want to go with khajitt or argonian as vampires. I like the idea of an evil orc vampire in heavy armour, but get the feeling that it isn't, in reality, going to go well with vampire powers/bloodsucking, and the nigh-impossibility of using magic as such a race stops me. A nord would have pretty much the same kind of problem, I guess, only less crap at stealth.

Dunmer, you can resist fire, look badass and are good at both Stealth and Magic.

Race has very little bearing on anything in Skyrim, just pick the one you think looks the best as a Vampire.

You don't need to be a Khajitt or Argonian to be stealthy, you just need to train your sneak skill. Similarly with magic, you don't need to be a Altmer or Breton to be good at magic, just increase your Magicka pool as you level up and/or use Magicka increasing enchantments/stones.

There's no reason not to choose a Orc or Nord to be a Vampire Lord, you can't even start the Dawnguard quests until you're level 10, which is plenty of time and enough levels to balance out their perceived racial weaknesses.

In my time playing Skyrim I've successfully played as a heavy armoured Orc who is a master of Stealth and a Nord who is a master wizard and their race has never been a disadvantage.

I suppose, but sneak has always been a little difficult at first. Especially as if you're stealing, the consequences for being caught are much greater than, say, the consequences of going into battle with a greatsword when you've just started using two handed weapons.

I think I'll have a look in character creation. This is a bit of a fun playthrough, I want to be as evil as I can, so I want to look the part. I want, ideally, to be kinda like the vampires in "30 days of night" (plus added vampire lord-ness), vicious, but intelligent. At the moment, I'm considering dunmer mostly because they seem to be suited to vampirism, argonian because, hey, being all sneaky and carnivourous would suit a race that looks an awful lot like velociraptors from jurassic park (maybe I should go for a female, just so I can imagine someone saying "clever girl"), or a breton for easy adaptability.

Going only off of what I honestly feel would make a really cool vampire and all other things cast aside, I'll recommend Argonian. Those teeth, they're perfectly suited to be a bloodsucking creature of the night, forget tiny dainty canines to pierce neck veins, an Argonian would take the whole neck and them some.
