Alright, So i swear to Christ it was midnight just a moment ago and now the sun is coming up over the horizon. While i appreciate the beauty I seem to have managed to forget to sleep.

Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever been planning to go to sleep and just get so distracted by something else the next time you look up old bright and burning is staring you in the face? Any interesting stories to tell on the subject?

When we stayed in Oslo last summer, we didnt even realise what time it was, the sun was still out until about 4:30am, yet we only thought it was about 8pm. We werent happy, missed out on a good nights sleep there

Wait, are you complaining that the sun rose?

Yeah well it is summer, Sun likes to be an early riser. Of course, unless your in Australia, then everything is upside down.

Well personally to do, it's midday right now but yes I have on occasion been in darkness then suddenly looked out the window to find the sun is already up and I missed watching the sun rise.

On 3 nights in the last week, I've been distracted by this site enough to make me stay up to a time between 1 and 3 am. I have, in the past, had to rush to get into bed because I've heard my parents getting up.

Yeah I don't like the sun here in the UK. I sets at about 10 and then rises at 5 am. I always get up a 6 now and think "oh crap, its noon!"

Not complaining that it rose, more that i didn't think it was so late.. yet early... yet late...

Dammit what is it?

Last week, took 4 hours to walk back from town after a night out, so buy the time I got back, it was full blown morning, so sleep did not happen that day.

In 4x gaming that's referred to as One More Turn Syndrome. Looking forward to a few miserable mornings at work in September.

Yeah I've had that a lot of times, more often than not at parties or all night gaming sessions, both of which would always end up in closed-off/darkened rooms. So we wouldn't notice a thing until someone went to the kitchen to get drinks or snacks and discovered that it's actually full on daytime outside and the real time is 9:30 AM.
