I've decided I really wanna try the Time Splitters series but I'm not sure which one I should start with what do you suggest? Why is it the best starting point in the series?

start at the beginning...
that way you get all the content and don't get pushed away from the earlier titles by their worse graphics.

(I usually get that with older games... if they're a part of a series.)

I'd have to say Timesplitters 2 was my fave, go for that.

Just my opinion though.

I say number two.

It's my favorite for a start, and number one doesn't have the same sort of campaign. Number 1 each level you just had to run in to a level and get an object, number 2 introduced actual objectives.

Also monkeys.

Timesplitters 2 is where the actual story starts... more or less. If you've played Goldeneye, playing Timesplitters 1 will actually feel like a step back, despite being on a better system. Timesplitters 2, on the other hand, had better graphics and more reason for the story. Besides, the characters in the first one are fairly tame (for Timesplitters, calm down) and Timesplitters 2 is where the really wacked-out characters got their start.

Not much in Future Perfect will make sense unless you've played either of the first two. The story mode is fairly self-contained, I guess, but all the references and in-jokes will be so much funnier if you know the context behind them.

You should definitely start with Timesplitters 4.
Oh, wait...

Not soon enough! D:

But, I would follow up and say start with the first one, though, you won't miss much if you want to skip ahead to the second one where the story actually starts to piece itself together. It is kind of nice to start from the very beginning to see how far along the game has progressed though.

Timesplitters 1 didn't really have any story. The story really begins in 2. The first one was still pretty good, though.

TS 2 and then FP. The first game was okay, but it would be a waste of money to buy that when you can buy it's much better sequels just as easily.
Of course, in a perfect world I'd just tell you to wait for TS4 because it'd be coming out soon, but sadly, no, we don't live in one.

I go with the 3rd game if you're on some kind of time restraint or budget.

The first two are decent games, don't get me wrong, but TS3 was damn near perfect a FPS.
Only REAL thing holding it back was not being on the PC - which is a damn shame given its level editor and fun.

Timesplitters 1 is kinda meh, fun, but not really great.

Timesplitters 2 starts off the story and, in my opinion, is the best FPS ever made (and its apparently the highest rated PS2 shooter, so yeah). Great campaign and insane multiplayer customization to boot. Start here.

Future Perfect is apparently great, haven't played it personally but in terms of story play this one after 2.

Future Perfect is pretty different from 1 and 2, so maybe you should do some research about them and see which type suits your gaming needs.

Or just buy all three, they are all great games.
