Amirite D&D players?
It's all about location, location, location.
That's why i rolled an assassin! Uncanny Dodge man. The most useful skill ever made.

New from Sinclair Solutions! Dodge enemy traps before you even set them off!

But in all seriousness, timed jumping puzzles are thing that I normally hate. It can often be hard to see where your character is going to land, which results in SPLAT! INSTA-DEATH.
animes make me wanna kill something. also, it took me a while to figure out why that was a trap, appearently its a guy. wierd. also, how can that be a trap. it looks either like a flat chested chick or a 12 year old girl.

I was going to post a similar trap but you already did so I guess I won't have to.

OT: Log traps in Oblivion.

A 'trap' in gaming is often known as a male who looks dubiously like a female.

Well I learnt the hard way that if you easily get the Death Star's Location and Blueprints, it could be a trap.

IT'S A TRAP!!!

People who pick arguments with me by misreading my messages, then think I'm arguing with them when I attempt to clarify where they misunderstood me. It's a trolling so subtle that they themselves are often unaware they're doing it.
So you're saying everyone but you is a troll?
Good example, if slightly too obvious given the context.
Just because my name has numbers in it doesn't mean I'm a troll, I bet you suck at MW2 n00b, why don't you go crawling back to your precious Galo!
The first example was better. This second one is too obviously just making noise for making noise's sake.
It was a realistic rendition for trolling defensive behavior. If you thought before you spoke you would know.
Ah yes, this is a much better example of getting offended over typical failure to read. Add something like, "if you weren't so stupid, you would have known this" adds fuel to keep the flame war going.

Normally, that would totally get me, but given that the thread topic is about the kinds of traps I fall in, I'm on my guard and not so prone to do so.

Pretty much anything that is small and located near my feet. I like to run, usually fast, and at the time I'm not really worried about trivial things like tripwires and pressure plates until I explode or something. Then when I reload I move a lot slower.

Seconded. Sucks being a treasure hunting, greedy whore sometimes doesn't it?

"Ooh Look! Treasure! *Click* IT'S EATING MY FACE!!!"
Especially when you're hoping for a new weapon to help you kill Mimics.

Yes, the Irony hurt almost as much as the teeth.
Almost.

Look into your heart. You know it to be true.

And very, very creepy.
AHHH! SHUT UP!

i don't want to invision it!
he/she/it wears a low cut dress. that's just wrong!
Is that low-cut or high-cut? Either way, it's pretty creepy-fying. Some seriously messed up animators gave birth to him...

I AM YOUR SOLDIER
YOU. ARE. MY. ENEMY!

AND I AM YOURS!
You are everything I despise - the worst sin in all creation.

I have defeated - time and time again I have defeated you.

I sent you back into the Void. I saved the whole of reality from you!

I AM THE DOCTOR, AND YOU ARE THE DARLEKS!

If you run fast enough they might not get you.

I've tried that and it works sometimes. Maybe if I ran even faster that might work! Like the Flash! Or I could try being more careful but that's never as fun or exciting!

Only thing I can think of is mimics. Understandable, considering they look like treasure chests.
I got jumped by one that was pretending to be a weapon rack once. It threw a sword at me.

-----

I always manage to run headlong into those bear traps that are inexplicably littered across the land in Dragon Age: Origins. They're almost always dispersed right in front of a group of enemies, so when my teammates go Leroy on me and charge into the battle, I end up charging with them and *clamp*!

If there's a better example of getting offended over typical failure to read then why don't you show it to me instead of generalizing. When I talk about something I give examples.

Very much this. So much needing food badly. Doesn't help when you play with a loot-hog.

I'd have to go with the Mimics on this one. Every game, no matter what, I aim to open every treasure chest that I know that I can survive opening. No monster fake is going to stand in my way.
Then there are the KING Mimics in Dark Chronicle. Those motherf*ckers are evil.

I just tend to let myself fall into every trap that's activated by pressing a button. I mean, one day I might actually get the bonuses that I'm sure are revealed by that single bloody button.
