Sauna, Molotov Coctails, Max Payne, Angry Birds, Pulkkinen, Kummeli. I guess that was our biggest inventions.

Finland is epic!

Well, the first formula for insulin, the pencil, the jet engine, the sonic cannon...
Actually a lot of stuff that got stolen by countries where being smart isn't a punishable offense.

This is Sweden. The most peacefull country in the world and only surpassed in neutralness by Switzerland...we invented dynamite and cleared the way for nitroglycerin research.

England

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_inventions_and_discoveries

but since its such a huge list: the computer, matches, jet engine, movie cameras and projectors, theories of DNA, gravity, evolution, modern atomic theory, trains, bikes, screw propellors, tanks, rugby, cricket, tennis, golf (ok scotland but close enough), plastics, crosswords, how to cure scurvy, modern nursing, vaccines, cast iron, commerical glass, tin cans, lottery, modern post, microchip, economic steam engines, spinning jenny, pencils, radio.

Just the basic ones, sorry but all the US posts annoyed me.

Here is a list of invention by Irish people both Republic and North. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Irish_inventions_and_discoveries] There are many others such as Poitín and the first experimental verifaction of E=mc[sup]2[/sup] was the joint work of the Irish and Americans. It was also the first fission I think. Well there was another but that was more accidental and wasn't even taken into account(I think Rutherford's experiment did this but he didn't pay attention to it nor was looking for it).

Australia:
1838- The Refrigerator (was commissioned by a brewery that wanted a machine to cool it's beer)
1858- Football (specifially AFL), the first ten rules were written down and these predate the rules of Soccer, Rugby and Gridiron
1900's- The swimming stroke now called "Freestyle" or "Overarm"
1902- The Notepad
1906- First feature length film, The Story of the Kelly Gang, was little over an hour long (figures it was about a criminal, which happens to be our national hero of sorts)
1922- Vegimite, as much as you tourists hate it, it's the best stuff to have on toast
1924- Car Radio
1934- The Ute
1940- Zinc Cream
1945- The Hills Hoist, or "the swing clothes line"
1957- Trousers with a permanent crease

I'm gonna stop there, but if you feel inclined to look it up, you'll see that Australia has actually improved many inventions and layed the foundations (but never patented the ideas) that other countries *coughAmericacough* now take the credit for :)
