Title says it all. What was the first game you ever played, or at least the earliest game you remember playing?

Well you should probably say more because I'm pretty sure you're going to get a Warning with what you've got...

OT: I'm not 100% sure what my FIRST video game was since I was almost certainly playing games before I could walk (I was born in 1986 and the NES was my first system).

It was almost certainly Super Mario Brothers just because I imagine my Dad, who owned the NES, would start me off on something a bit more kid friendly. I remember though playing Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, Friday the 13th, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (fuck you Dam Level!!!), Godzilla, Duck Hunt, and likely a bunch of others that I can't think of right now.

Amazing how far we've come

Super Mario World on the SNES.

I would house sit for a family that had the game and me and my cousin would play it for hours, but because it wasn't our game we could never save. I loved that game, and later I got the gameboy advance remake Super Mario World Super Mario Advance 2.

Super Mario Bros. on the NES at the neighbor kid's house. I remember it being quite the accomplishment the first time I completed World 1-1.

Probably Enduro on my uncle's Atari. The first game I couldn't stop playing was Street Fighter II when I was about 8. I always chose Guile because of that haircut. Whenever I play some version of Street Fighter nowadays, I always go with Guile for nostalgia sake.

You know for a long time I thought it was Wolfenstein 3D, but now that I really really think about it. I'm almost positive that it was Samurai Shodown and Wolfenstein was just the first FPS I ever played. I used to play Shodown all the time while waiting for my swimming classes as a kid. God, Earthquake was such a pain in the ass for me and he was the first guy in the ladder heh. The furthest I would ever make it was to some guy wearing a mask who, I think, blew purple smoke as a special move.

Something on the Atari 2600, either Pac-Man, Asteroids, or Combat.

Those were the days. Red square versus blue square.

Duck Hunt.

I just can't remember if I was at Kiley's or the dentist, because both had it. (Coolest dentist ever).

The first "interactive interface" I "played" was Putt-Putt. Like... the little purple car.

The first VIDEO GAME I played through on my own was Donkey Kong Country for the SNES after watching my mom play it. I was... I dunno, four?

I wouldn't call Putt-Putt a game because it isn't really a game in the sense that other Humongous Games are such as Pajama Sam and Freddi Fish; there's no conflict, not really any puzzles (at least the one I played, Putt-Putt joins the parade) and this eerie cheerfulness that just envelops the whole place. It's creepy, now that I think about it.

Easy. Donkey Kong on the Intelevision. Fuck that stupid disc and phone-keypad-looking-thing controller right up it's electronic ass.
...
Sorry, I have a lot of old anger about that thing.

I'm pretty sure it was Smurf Rescue or something like that, on the Colecovision. It was at a friend's house. It seemed that Smurfs had an incredibly delicate constitution because everything you touched instantly killed you or knocked you over.

I was not impressed.

*edit* Even as a young kid my imagination got ahead of me. I remember fearing I would run into Azrael the cat. Never did get far enough to see if he/she was in the game.

Either Pokemon Fire Red, Lego Star Wars (Episodes 1-3), or Call of Duty: Big Red One.

It was something on the Commodore 64, I'm going to say "Hot Wheels" since that was really the only game I ever played on the Machine.

I believe it was Smash Brothers Melee, Or maybe something for the Gameboy, like Pokemon Crystal or something similar. I forget.

Some Disney painting/coloring game for PC. That, or a Bionicle game I got from cornflakes, I think.
