For me it would be Pok'e'mon Blue on the GBC. Good God I loved that game. Still do. =D

Also shout out to Halo for getting me into shooters.

And shout out to halo 2/3 for breaking my heart.

=(

Probably Pokémon: Red. But my first game was Maths Blaster shortly followed by The Secret of Monkey Island.

I played a lot of NES games before I realized there was a sub-culture around gaming--so I didn't actually start really getting into-into--like, spending a whole weekend playing---until I managed to get a Playstation off a friend of mine when I was twelve. And the game she let me borrow was Final Fantasy VII and some version of Tekken.

And then I realized gaming was much more then scrolling landscapes and magic mushrooms.

I was always into games, I had an atari 2600 when I was 4, although I never had a commodore, I then went through the master system mega drive and snes accordingly.

I had a few years break though and then my next console was a ps1 with time crisis, played that but not seriously.... and then came the rpg's My favourite one for the ps was the first parasite eve, then metal gear and resident evil followed suit.

Not sure if it was Asteroids or a Sega Genesis game (which would have been either a Sonic game or Rocket Knight Adventures 1).

I played Pac-Man as my first game, but didn't really become a gamer in the full-fledged sense of the term until SimCity (on the SNES, believe it or not) got its hooks into me in 1992. Before that I was "a kid with a Nintendo". After that (and later discovery of Sid Meier's Civilization on the PC) gaming was the most significant part of my list of interests.

My first game was Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt for the Nintendo. But I gotta say, the game that really got me into gaming was Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I used to play that for hours on end. I still remember all my frustration at the Chemical Plant stage. XD

I had played a few NES games, but I drifted away from games mainly 'cause I could'nt efford it. But Abe's Odyssey made me come back to it with a vengeance and I've been playing ever since.

As a brilliant man once said "Final Fantasy 7, its the game that got me into gaming as a hobbie... and that can only be described as a good thing."... Anyone know who that brilliant man was? :D

Crash Bandicoot all the way

All the fucking way. Pokemon probably helped to sell the remianing fragments of my soul though.
Pokemon is really fun, man I don't blame you for selling your soul to that game!
