Gaming-wise? An hour into Final Fantasy X.
Just lost interest. Yeah, so maybe I didn't try hard enough - Tidus just killed it for me.

Watched the whole thing, now where is my god damn medal and cake; I demand it! I may have lost a few brain cells but by god that was so horrendously funny to watch. Hell if you think that's bad, you should look up the Millionares (at your own risk).

I think my last breaking point for a game would have to be Grand Theft Auto. I can't play those games at all, after about an hour at most it's just a terrible and boring game. Fuck do I ever hate GTA.

Another would have to be SSB: Brawl. The whole game was just....wrong. I played a few hours and it was just a boring mess of a game.

I've given up on any new sonic games being good. I mean, honestly, Sonic Heroes? Admittedly I completed it 100% but that was done over the course of about 5 years of playing it for an hour then not playing it for a month.

Too Human, Fallout 3, Final Fantasy XIII were all games that I gave up with very little play time.

Too Human has the controls of a drunken pig rodeo game for midgets.

Fallout 3 just disappointed me combat wise, I couldn't get into it and I was sure if I just got into the story I'd love it but I wasn't able to care.

Final Fantasy XIII was FF on train tracks. I loathe it even more than XII. X-2 might have been annoying but at least the gameplay was fun.

I only got an hour or so into FEAR before quitting. When it introduced enemies that turn invisible,run up and attack you before turning back invisible again.
After being attacked by three at the same time, I just put down the controller and said "No. I'm not doing this."

I don't blame you for giving up on this.

That game is insane. Especially the final boss.
I'm currently still stuck on the final boss. It's terrible. But I haven't given up.

OTawn Of War Soul Storm Campaign. I don't care about the Campaign. Imperial Guards are impossible to beat.

I personally think, at some point in our lives, everyone has experienced a moment where they've simply had no choice but to through up their hands and say "I'm out." In gaming, that moment for me came about 8 hours into playing Final Fantasy X-2. I loved the FF series for years prior to this, and I thought the direct precurser to this game, FFX, was fantastic fun to play. But after 8 hours of dealing with FF X-2, I simply decided "No mas. This is the end for me. No more Final Fantasy." The task I call upon all of you for is simply, if you've had such a moment, when you've been forced to give up a great franchise or series you've enjoyed, to share it with us on this thread.

Predator: Concrete Jungle. That awful excuse for a 6th level, supposedly stealth. just fucking horrible.

22 hours into FFXIII. I finally got to Gran Pulse, where I was told the game opened up, only to find out my corridor had not splintered off into multiple ends, it had just gotten WIDER.

Lost Odyssey. Its not a bad game, I just got caught up in life, and when I turned the game back on, I was in a stage at the game were I had two magic users against totally physical using enemies who were resistant to magic. Hard time to get back to caring.

Heavy Rain, after the game glitched at the 3rd chapter and I found out it was extremely common. Just couldn't summon the willpower to try again.

The moment a game stops being fun after doing something ad nausium, that's a good time to walk away. The game should be a reward withing itself, so why fret over an end-game boss battle you've tried & failed to kill 6 times that makes you want to rip your hair out? If it takes anxiery to get to point Z, it's not worth it for me. (I can only recall 2 games in the past 4 years I never bothered finishing).
