What Were THE BEST Launch Fighting Games? REAL TALK

I do agree with Max on Tekken TAG, Soul Calibur, Melee, and DOA3 being the best of the launch fighting game titles. I did not play much DOA3, because we did not have an XBOX. A friend of ours had one, but we would usually play others games. I know got more hours in to Melee and Tekken TAG. Especially the former. I 100% agree with Max on Soul Calibur changing the industry when it was ported to the Dreamcast.

Soul Calibur still reigns as the gold standard of arcade ports from back in the day. I couldn't tell you how many hours I put into that game.

I was pretty jelly when my bud brought home a shiny new PS with Tekken. It was a whole other level of having the arcade in your living room, the likes of which weren’t seen since like the Pac-Man and Pitfall days.
