What Will They Re-make Next?

After having just gotten back from seeing the newly re-made "The Thing", my thoughts are less focused on stomach-teeth and more on which successful old movie will be commercially viable enough to warrant being re-made next.

Honestly, I think a Jaws re-make is right around the bend.

'Tis the season to be slapping together a Frankenstein of an old classic and releasing it's charmless stupor upon the masses.

So what do you think is going to get a re-make next? What would you WANT to be re-made...and what would you want them to leave the hell alone?

I wouldn't be surprised if they remade The Fly. From the 80s, and even that was a remake of The Fly from the 60s. Hollywood is a joke...

Though, I am waiting for Red Sonja, the original was kind of bad.

I think George Lucas will remake the original trilogy...with every character replaced by an Ewok or Jar Jar binks. Jar Jar Solo, Jar Jar Skywalker etc. Why? Because he can.

Thought this would be about games. If games are involved then probably Kotor.

Movies? God no idea really :p I think Hollywood is more focused in turning tv shows into movies rather than making remakes.

I hope they make a re-make of a great BUT an old film, something like Chinatown would be great for an update. Just as a suggestion have Ryan Gosling in the Jack Nicholson role and John Hawkes in the John Huston part, it might just work.

I guessing a Goonies remake could be in the work although I read somewhere they were planning to make a sequel to it with the casts (now grown up) children will have an adventure.

I read a mention of A Clockwork Orange remake somewhere on the interwebs, if that gets the go ahead no doubt it'd be a disaster.

I could see them redoing The Blues Brothers. that movies just popular enough to be attractive. And having licensed music they can sell on iTunes is all the rage these days thanks to Glee.

I desperately hope that it never happens, but it does seem feasible.
