What would you choose as your starship name?

Greetings all, Another Search Bar Approved[/B] thread from Insanum!

Ive recently Downloaded (via Steam) Star Trek online, And whilst its a great game (if a tad glitchy), one thing that struck me, And also took me ages to decide on, Was the name of my starship.

In the end, i settled on the "USS Brunos", for the following reason:

<spoiler=In joke Reason> Well, I had WoW, And i was a Blood ElF Hunter, With an orange Cheetah pet I loving called bruno (i've forgotten the actual animal name) - In the time from lvl 10-40 my friends all got different pets, But i stuck with Bruno, treating him like a real animal.

Anyway, Me & three friends were taking out a boss (it was in the dead castle place near the Blood Elf Capital (I stopped playing WoW nearly a year ago, Forgive my lack of place name memory)) when i was shrunk by an enemy spell, Mid battle. After the battle ended (we killed them all), I noticed Bruno wasn't responding to calls.

I then saw bruno lying there, Dead.

My friends turn around to see a tiny hunter, about half the size of this dead cat, Shout "BRUNO NOOOOOOOOO!".

Hilarious at the time, And it became a bit of a catchphrase, and for those that want to know, I revived him, and he lives on in my inactive account on WoW.

So long story short, Its a play on the pet name.

So, If you got the chance to name a Federation Starship, What name would you choose, And why?

Please Note, You have to have the USS prefix, and it cannot be anything obscene, or have the annoying internet gibberish(and that includes X's & ASCII).

Regards,
Insanum

I usually use "Leviathan" as a ship name but in the only Star Trek based story I ever wrote my ship was named "The Hand of Fate".

I don't think i'll ever play Star Trek Online - but how about "USS Brackman"? SupCom FTW!

Or maybe "USS Nakhimov" (a famous Russian admiral). Or "USS Voloshin" (last name of the poet i got my first name from).

The S.S. Sexmachine. Or the USS Cloud-Raper.

Damn, now you got me thinking..

I've never watched anything Star-Trek related but mine would probably be Scrambles The Death Dealer.

The USS OMGSHARKS! Because that was my Shepard's name in Mass Effect and sharks scare me. I mean anything named OMGSHARKS! has to be scary and intimidate the enemy immediately.

USS Fatality, Small-sized Strike/Stealth Cruiser...

Built for mostly recon missions using adapted cloaking tech.

Also can be called for fast hit-and-run attacks behind enemy lines...

hmmm. Probably the USS Mertilizer

My first choice, The Harbinger of Defenestration, doesn't really work with the USS prefix.

Yes & no, The name its self is USS - The NCC prefix is for the ship number, Eg:

USS Enterprise D

NCC1986 - Thats the wrong prefix, But im not that much of a trekkie...Yet.

If it's smaller than a heavy cruiser: Lempicka.

If it's bigger than a heavy cruiser: The Fate of Rose

USS Revenant if it's a smaller ship. For a dreadnought or battleship I would probably go with USS Minotaur.

If I didn't have to add USS on to the beginning I would probably call it the Floating Leaf. This is an extremely obscure reference and anyone who gets it can be my friend. There is not greater prize.

The USS Bruce Maddox.

Or the USS Kamin.

References to two of my favorite TNG episodes.

Jokingly, the USS Face-Rapist

Seriously, the USS Longsword. I mean, it just sounds dangerous, and I can say jokes that involve the word 'penetration.'
