I know that the forum is flooded with topics on Portal 2, but I wanted talk about something that involves what's next for the company.

With Portal 2 selling like Hotcakes, and the Free DLC to come the game is going to be their focus for at least the rest of the year and then shift it into games Valve updates on the same basis as TF2 and L4D. And with the upcoming Defense of the Ancients 2 coming out this year as well Valve will have its plate full with both Portal 2 and DoTA 2 support. To say this is Valve's best year in the way of developing games, you'd be mostly right, i mean have they ever had a bad one? (please dont take this as an oppurtunity to start arguing over which ones were bad thats not what this topic is about((dont take that the wrong way)) ). Another big thing thats being worked on is the idea of Big Screen for Steam, in which you'll be able to play games using TV screens as a monitor (at least thats what i think it is, i havent fully looked at it yet)

What do you think the company will have instore for us next year? The first thing that comes to mind is Half Life, which they have been delaying any new installment for almost 4 years since Episode 2 came out. Will Valve continue to be afraid of the number 3? Will they be releasing a new updated version of the Source Engine? In a nutshell what do you think they'll accomplish next year?

Quite Personally im itching for a new IP.

and yes i admit it im a fanboy i want Half Life 2 Episode 3.
