Well there is a lot of hysteria about the end of the world. So in you're opinion who will be left standing? Will it be the Rich? The scientists? The businessmen? The Common worker? or some other class entirely? And if you were in one of the social classes (it may not have been mentioned) what would you do?

P.S. how is this bad?
P.P.S. what would make up the post apocalyptic society?

I agree here.
There's a difference between "the end of the world" and "the end of the world as we know it" a.k.a. "the end of civilization".

Assuming the OP meant the latter, I'm gonna say some people of all classes will survive. We don't know exactly what kind of "end" we're talking about here, but assuming an uncontrollable pandemic or natural desaster, every class'd be affected likewise.
And even if the "higher-ups" had a higher chance of survival, some from all classes would still survive considering the difference in numbers. The relation might shift dramatically, though.

As for "the end of the world" (in the sense of "the end of the planet Earth"), I'd assume we (as in "our species") will either have left the planet or already gone extinct by then.

Depends on what you mean. Like, how would the world end? If the world ended by atomic bombs, then no one because the radiation would kill everyone even if the initial blast somehow didn't. If you're talking about the sun exploding or asteroids, then no one because the would would be split into pieces and we'd all go floating into space. If you're talking about society as a whole crumbling to an end, then everyone or at least everyone who didn't kill themselves or was murdered as the sense of morality died within them as did the government. People will burst into anarchistic riots and set buildings on fire and just go insane until they all end up killing themselves somehow. And I will be sitting at a window in my house shaking my head in disapproval.

I'm rooting for the third, because at least I have a chance of survival.
