Where do you draw the line?

Everybody has limits; if someone didn't, they couldn't possibly be human. So where do you draw the line? This can be regarding anything you want. For example:

Topic: Gaming

- Parody Porn
- Cosplay (this is where I draw the line)
- Dungeons & Dragons
- World of Warcraft
- Final Fantasy
- ..........

So, pick something, and tell me where you draw the line.

Is that order going down? Say no please.

I actually want to get into pen and paper roleplaying. Maybe not Dungeons and Dragons (Tolkienesque swords and sorcery is a little over done). I do have a copy of the new World of Darkness source book (and a companion sourcebook, Mage: The Awakening) gathering e-dust on my desktop. I've got to read the rules and start a game with my friends soon. Figure I can start some Lovecraft-on-redbull style adventures.

Only then will I be a true nerd.

Anyway, I don't really draw lines in my hobbies. Either I pursue something, or I don't. It's not like there's anything I secretly desire to do that I'm promising myself I won't.

Edit: Come to think of it, I do draw the line at fourteen hours of TV Tropes per sitting.

Hahaha...no I just wanted to make sure you weren't ok with parody porn and not with DnD.

I kinda know what you mean. At first, I drew the line at Final Fantasy games, then World of Warcraft. Now that I've started playing D&D with some friends, I've drawn the line at cosplay. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be roaring drunk, put on a school girls outfit and actually enjoy walking around in public in it. The lines we draw aren't set in stone.

Drawing the line at anything ABOVE pen and paper role playing sounds pretty comfortable to me. just don't get into parody porn (...I mean...if you really look like your avatar...)

lol, I know. Parody porn is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. I'll stick to the regular kind :)

I think Philip Zimbardo is a step up from Sigmund Freud.

Eh, I don't really want my friends rolling a dexterity check (lick my own nuts). I don't want to run that kind of game, and that's the only thing that's guaranteed to happen.

basically the same as you HardRock Samurai (if the top is out of bounds), though i could never really get into final fantasy games.

I have no troubles playing d&d for an entire evening, but I'm not going to show up to the table with a hat and robe...

Good.

And DnD is easily more respectable than the WoW lifesuck. Trust me...it's not deserving of the stigma it receives. It's very fun.

And no I'm not your disgusting, acne-riddled shithead with glasses living in a basement somewhere. I was actually introduced to it by some friends from the lacrosse team.

I'll be playing mage. I think I'll make it mandatory.

We'll have a lot of booze though. That should cancel out the shame...
